The HAL-13-8W-LED-M2 from Larson Electronics is a Low Voltage Hazardous Location Lighting Solution that is approved for Class I Division 2 environments and is U.L. 1598 compliant for use in wet locations. This powerful LED strip light produces 1,300 lumens while drawing only 10 watts, operates from 12 or 24 V DC, and is suitable for a variety of applications. Adjustable brackets are attached to each end of this LED light strip, and two 50 lb magnets are included, one attached to each end bracket allowing for mounting on any flat, magnetic metal surface. The HAL-13-8W-LED-M2 is designed to provide a high output and ruggedly durable lighting solution for applications where Class I Division 2 compliance is required. This low voltage hazardous area light can be operated with either 12 or 24 volt DC (choose below) current and includes 5 feet of connecting lead with standard two wire configuration. This light is constructed of powder coated extruded aluminum for excellent strength and durability and is rated IP54 for protection against exposure to water spray and limited dust ingress. These units are configured in a 13" long strip or "bar" profile for installation in locations where wide dispersal and a low profile is preferred. The high output, cool running operation, and good color rendering properties of this light make it an ideal replacement for older, bulkier, and less reliable incandescent and halogen light fixtures. Durability/Mounting: The HAL-13-8W-LED-M2 hazardous location LED light is constructed of extruded aluminum with a tough powder coat finish for high strength and durability. The housing is IP54 rated, providing limited ingress protection against dusts, and protection against light water spray such as rain. This design is weather resistant, suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, and ideal for areas where wetness or dusty conditions are commonly encountered. Adjustable brackets are attached to each end of this LED light strip, and two 50 lb magnets are included, one attached to each end bracket allowing for mounting on any flat, magnetic metal surface. Each end bracket magnetic is independently adjustable and can be adjusted while the fixture is mounted. The entire assembly weighs 0.7 lb and measures 13.4 inches in length and 2.68 inches wide and 1.69" deep, making it ideal for mounting in areas where space is limited and a low profile fixture more readily installed. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. The LEDs in this unit are Cree X-Lamp XR-E units that have been chosen for their high lumen per watt ratio and extreme long life. These Cree LEDs provide over 130 lumens per watt output and have a 70% lumen retention at 50,000 hours, giving them better efficiency and operational life than comparable LEDs. These fixtures are offered with a clear or frosted lens. The frosted lens helps diffuse the light, providing a more even spread. The clear lens will provide no diffusion. Wiring/Power: These hazardous location LED lights are equipped with 5 feet of cord containing a standard two wire (White+ Black-) connecting configuration. These lights are not multi-voltage; each light is preconfigured for 12 or 24 volt DC current at 10 watts .83 amps on 12 V DC and .41 amps on 24 V DC. Versatility: The HAL-13-8W-LED-M2 is ETL approved for Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C & D locations. This unit carries an IP56 waterproof rating ensuring protection against limited ingress from dusts, dirt, oils, and full protection against water sprayed at high pressure directly on the fixture. This light is ideal for indoor or outdoor applications and industrial operations with hazardous location classification where dusty or wet conditions are commonly encountered.
