Made in the USA The Larson Electronics HAL-EMG-48-2L-LED-D-V2 Hazardous Area Dimmable LED Light Fixture is NRTL Listed for United States and Canada Class 1 Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D - NRTL Certified to UL 1598A listed, has a T4C temperature rating and ideal for open air hazardous locations where flammable chemical/petrochemical vapors may be occasionally encountered. This dimmable C1D2 light fixture is compatible with 0-10V dimmer switches, and contains internal terminal strips for wiring multiple fixtures in series. The HAL-EMG-48-2L-LED-D-V2 fixture is a 4 foot long, 2 lamp, Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D hazardous area dimmable LED light that takes the reliability and efficiency of a fluorescent fixture and adds even longer lamp life and efficiency with high output LEDs. This fixture is T4C temperature rated and comes standard with our high power 28 watt dimmable LED lamps that each produce 2,875 lumens. The lamps are protected by an aluminum framed hinged glass door secured with four turn latches and the fixture is constructed of copper free aluminum alloy. The lamp reflector is corrosion resistant heavy gauge aluminum and coated with a high gloss reflective finish. A factory installed terminal strip within the light fixture allows operators to wire multiple fixtures in series, reducing installation cost. The internal terminal strip accounts for dimming control wires (violet/grey) for dimming multiple fixtures in series from a single switch. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. This fixture can be configured to run on voltages from 90-132V AC and is NRTL Certified to U.L. 595 and UL 1598A Marine Type approved for use marine environments. The HAL-EMG-48-2L-LED-D-V2 is weatherproof and provides operators in hazardous locations with a highly efficient, reliable and affordable lighting solution for open areas where flammable chemicals and vapors my occasionally be present. This LED light fixture features 0-10V dimming capabilities. This gives operators the ability to manually adjust the brightness of the LED lamp quickly and easily. The 0-10V dimming allows for adjustments to fit the brightness needs of any lighting situation. A 0-10V dimmable light works through the use of a DC control signal that ranges between zero and ten volts. The basic idea is that at 10 volts of input the light is at its brightest level with 0 volts being the lowest possible dimness setting. The smooth, continuous and flicker-free dimming of a 0-10V dimmable LED light is ideal for a wide range of different lighting applications. This dimmable LED light works operates as a standard light fixture during normal operation while line voltage is present. The main difference is that we add a battery backup unit that adds emergency light functionality to the fixture. This hazardous area emergency light will run one bulb at the standard suggested 90+ minutes after power is lost. The light recharges the battery once electrical power is restored. The battery backup unit includes a switched leg for turning the light fixture on/off without kicking the unit into emergency mode. Emergency mode will operate regardless of if the fixture is turned on or off. A test switch can be installed for routine testing.

We have eliminated the ballast normally associated with fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight, increases lamp life to an extreme 50,000 hours and helps this LED fixture maintain a T-4C temperature rating. The solid state design of the included LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibrations and extremes in temperature as well as a lamp service life over twice that of standard T5-bulbs. The 28 watt LED lamps produce more illumination than standard T5 bulbs, but draw only 1/2th of the current. The current generation of Larson Electronics LED T-series style bulbs produce 15% more light than standard T5 bulbs. Standard Surface Mount Brackets: Each L bracket is cinched to the bracket mounting peg on each side of the light. The angle of the bracket is set by tightening two cap screws on either side of the bracket. The cap screws act as a set screw. The bracket itself is mounted via a single bolt hole at the top the bracket. There are two brackets, one on each end of the light. Once the brackets are mounted to a surface (ceiling, floor or wall), the light fixture can be removed from the brackets by loosening the cap screws that hold the bracket to the mounting peg. Mounting brackets are removable. A single through hole enables the operator to install the light to any surface. A sliding bracket mount is available so operators can retrofit this LED light fixture to use the per-existing mounting holes from other fluorescent fixtures.
