Made in Texas The Larson Electronics HAL-LI-48-4L-LED Hazardous Area LED Light Fixture is U.S./Canada ETL listed Class 1 Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D and ideal for use in paint spray booth, clean rooms and industrial hazardous locations where accumulated paint and finish residues may be encountered. This unit is of a lay-in mount, front loading troffer design offering a low profile for providing maximum illumination from limited mounting space. ***PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS HAZARDOUS LOCATION LIGHT FIXTURE*** The HAL-LI-48-4L-LED fixture is a 4 foot long, 4 lamp, Class 1 Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D hazardous area LED light and a good choice for use in industrial clean room applications and paint spray booths. This front access troffer style fixture is T3C temperature rated, vapor proof and dust proof, and comes standard with Larson Electronics`s LEDT8-28W-V1 28 Watt LED bulbs. The housing on this unit is constructed of powder coated 20 gauge steel, and is sealed and gasketed for safety. The Lamp housing contains a highly reflective insert to increase light output efficiency. The lamps are held in place by spring loaded sockets and protected by a 90° hinged glass door with a 3/16” tempered glass lens which is secured with three turn latches. This fixture is multi-voltage (universal) capable and is available in voltages of 120-277 VAC (optional low voltage 11-25V AC/DC available). Wiring is through 1/2 NPT wiring hubs located on the back side of the fixture. This fixture also provides added safety through the inclusion of an integral magnetic paint spray cutoff switch that shuts down paint spray systems when the fixture is opened. This fixture features a troffer lay-in mounting design housing that measures only 2 and 1/4 inches in thickness and 2 feet wide by four feet long, resulting in a very low profile fixture that is deal for flush mounting in ceilings that utilize standard sized ceiling tiles. The included LED lamps have a 50,000+ hour service life, which results in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. The solid state design of the LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature and a lamp service life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs. This second generation lamp is offered in 5600K cool white, 4500K natural white, and 3000K warm white. Our standard unit ships with 5600K unless different color temperature is specified. Our LED-T series bulbs are visibly brighter than standard T5s and have consistently surprised many of our customers with their unexpectedly high light output levels. We have replaced two 8 foot dual lamp T8 fixtures in our own facility with our LED T series lamps and produced more illumination in the work area with only one 2 lamp 4 foot long LED fixture. Unlike the glass tube design of traditional fluorescent lamps, these LED T-Style lamps have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. The LED assembly is mounted to the "tube" constructed from extruded aluminum, with a polycarbonate lens protecting the LEDs. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than fluorescent lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional fluorescent lighting. The 28 watt LED lamps produce 30% more illumination than standard T8 bulbs while offering lower amp draw and increased reliability. A standard HAL-LI-48-4l-T8 explosion proof fluorescent light, with a combined total of 128 watts, draws 1.07 amp at 120 volts. This LED version of the same light, with a total of 112 watts, draws only 0.93 amp. The HAL-LI-48-4L-LED is multi-voltage (universal) universal voltage, not multi-tap, and operates on any voltage from 120V to 277V AC 50/60hz without any modifications. We also make a 11-25V DC version for low voltage applications (-LV suffix) for DC power.
