Solar Powered Light Tower: This solar light tower includes four 190W C1D2 solar panels, (2) Morningstar C1D2 charge controllers that automatically kill the system when the batteries get too low to protect them from damage, (4) 250aH 8D batteries in a 1,000 aH capacity C1D2 battery bank, an explosion proof photocell, a battery level indicator and a manual crank up mast mounted on trailer with outriggers. The 0.76 kW solar generator system recharges the batteries. This system delivers 24 volts for lighting mounted atop the 30` telescoping light mast.
The HAL-SPLT-0.76K-500AH-LM30-4X100RD2-DNS is supported by four Class I Division 2 250aH 8D batteries, equating to a 1,000aH battery capacity (500aH usable). A pair of Morningstar charge controllers protect the batteries from damage by automatically killing the system when the charge level of the batteries gets too low. This solar tower can run for up to 30 hours on a single charge and features an explosion proof photocell as well as an explosion proof on/off switch to override the photocell. The photocell promotes safety by turning on outdoor luminaires in critical passageways at night. During operation, the field-installable device activates luminaries at 3 footcandles, while deactivating at 8 footcandles. To prevent accidental tripping, the photocell comes with a 10-second time delay feature. This solar tower also features hydraulic breakers.
Light Mast: This telescoping five-stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy the four LED light heads in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 30` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 30` above the trailer floor for maximum area coverage, and collapsed to 13.5` for applications where a footprint smaller is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 6.6` in length and 6" by 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 6.78` in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 6.93` in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, upper section 7.08` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and top section 7.58` in length and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 1`+ overlap. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 1,000lb rated hand winch with 3/16" galvanized steel cable.
A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the equipped LED light fixtures. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with easy in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different positions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with easy, and can typically be rotated with a single hand. The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics.
The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. Four 1,000 lbs hand crank leveling jacks are used for leveling. The jacks can be leveled by hand crank or attachment provided for power drills. These outriggers can be extended 2` out from the side of the trailer for added stability. When lowered to 13.5`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 MPH. When raised to the full 30`, the mast can handle winds up to 65 MPH.

LED Light Fixtures: This solar light plant is equipped with four of Larson Electronics` high output LED light fixtures. The 100 watt EPLX-HB-100W-RD2-LED-TRC AC LED light fixture delivers brilliant illumination and robust performance in a convenient space-saving form. A 110° wide flood beam provides crisp, bright light with broad coverage. This pendat mounted fixture measures just 4.24"H and 9.21"OD and features an adjustable light head that allows for a 180° range of movement. To adjust the light head, simply loosen the thumbscrew and move the light head to the desired position and then tighten the thumbscrew to secure the light head.
This explosion proof low bay light fixture utilizes AC LEDs paired with a heavy-duty housing and an advanced heat sink that allows for improved efficiency and thermal performance. By eliminating the drivers associated with DC LEDs, space is freed up for more connective surface, accelerating heat dissipation and increasing durability. The specially designed heat sink allows for greater surface area contact with the air as well as a stronger airflow rate. Because this fixture is created for maximum thermal efficiency, it is ideal for applications in which the ambient operating temperature falls into extreme ranges, especially high heat applications. Furthermore, fewer sub-components also means fewer chances for secondary component failure. The simplified circuit system used within AC LEDs creates greater stability and enhances luminaire lifespan.
The 100 watt EPLX-HB-100W-RD2-LED-TRC is designed to endure the daily wear and tear inflicted by harsh outdoor conditions such as sun, wind, rain, snow and sleet. as well as to withstand the corrosive effects of saltwater spray in marine environments. Durable IP68 rated construction provides protection against the ingress of dust, dirt and humidity and allows this light to withstand the corrosive elements found within marine environments including saltwater spray. The copper free, non-sparking die-cast aluminum alloy housing and tempered glass lens are vibration and impact resistant, and the housing is treated with a coating that rejects dust and buildup.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Lamp Control: This solar tower features an explosion proof photocell that automatically turns on the light heads when ambient light levels reach 3 footcandles and turns them off again when light levels reach 8 footcandles. The photocell also has a 10 second time delay feature to prevent accidental activation or deactivation. In addition to the photocell, there is also an explosion proof on/off switch that allows operators to override the photocell when manual operation is desired.
Solar Panels: This unit is comprised of four 190-watt solar panels, generating a total maximum output of 1.06 kW. The panels are mounted securely on a sliding assembly. During deployment, the top solar panels slide out to form a four-panel array for maximum exposure to sunlight. The panels are wired to the solar charger control box which manages the charging system. When in use, the four solar panels are angled at 45° to capture the intensity of the sun for optimized light intake.
Solar Panel Durability: The solar panels equipped on this solar tower are designed to withstand rugged, outdoor environments. The frame is constructed of silver anodized aluminum, while the back cover is made out of white polyester for insulation. For extra protection, the front cover is constructed of high transmission glass (1/8" thick).
Component Control Center: All the electrical components are encapsulated in a NEMA 3R job box that is bolted to the trailer. Since most of these components are not rated for high heat, our component cooling system circulates air within the job box at 1400 CFM when the ambient temperature exceeds 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The job box that contains the component control system includes locks for security purposes.
Trailer Assembly: The entire assembly is mounted to a 10` by 7`, single axle trailer via six 1/2" anchor bolts. The two wheel trailer is equipped with 3,500 lbs axle and leaf springs with 15" trailer tires. A standard 2" ball coupling, two standard safety chains, and 7-pin flat trailer plug allow for easy hookup and towing. The trailer tongue can be removed for long term deployment. A rugged and waterproof job box is included, safely secured to the trailer. Four 1000 lb. outriggers mounted to the corners of the trailer allow operators to level the trailer and provide stabilization during deployment. All trailer lighting complies with DOT/FMVSS regulations. The trailer of this solar tower is powder coated for aesthetics and durability and also features skid pockets on the side.
Applications: Remote work locations, construction sites, military bases, camping sites, outdoor events, security applications, emergency services, outdoor lighting, portable lighting and more.

A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
