The low voltage Larson Electronics HALPRM-12V hazardous area light provides excellent illumination for applications where a lower power lighting solution is required. Constructed of die cast aluminum and U.L. listed for wet areas, this 12 Volt DC fixture is a versatile and ideal hazardous area lighting solution for areas where wet or damp environments may be encountered.
The durable HALPRM-12V low voltage light fixture is suitable for use in wet outdoor environments, making it an ideal lighting solution for industrial applications, boat docks, building exteriors and outdoor work areas. The lamp housing is weather resistant and constructed of pressure cast copper free aluminum with an architectural bronze Polyester finish. The lens door is pressure-cast copper-free aluminum, and secured with 1/4â€ diameter captive stainless steel slotted hex-head bolts. This unit features 12 volt DCÂ operation and aÂ 10 wattÂ 50,000 hour LEDÂ bulb forÂ a bright whiteÂ light output.
The optical assembly includes thermal shock and impact resistant door glass with a pressure-cast copper-free aluminum door frame and heavy duty, high temperature silicone rubber seal. The lamp socket is a specification grade mogul base porcelain unit with heavy gauge brass, a nickel-plated, double lamp-grip screw shell and spring-loaded center contact. The reflectors are a double segment compound parabolic design with AlzakÂ® finish for maximum efficiency.
This unit includes a zinc plated steel trunnion mount with architectural bronze Polyester finish for adjustability and resistance to damage from the elements.
This hazardous area light is rated U.L. standard 844 and 1598 compliant, approved Class 1 Division 2, Groups A,B,C,D, and functionable in an environment of up to 180 degrees celcius. This hazardous area light is designed to operate on 12 volt DC current, making it suitable for use in areas where low voltage is either preferred or required. This lamp is suitable for use in areas were flammable gases and vapors are present occasionallyÂ and inÂ low densities and IS NOT suitable for use in confined spaces.
ThisÂ 10 wattÂ LED floodÂ light is highly durable, can operate in ambient temperatures to 180 degrees C, and will not produce temperatures greater than 325 degrees C. All hardware on this unit is resistant to rain, snow, salt water and corrosive chemicals. The heavy duty design and attractive finish of this fixture makes it a popular choice for outdoor applications regardless of whether the locations are designated hazardous or not.Â Bulb is not included with with this fixture.

Make all electrical connections in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any applicable local code requirements. Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it to nameplate. Three-conductor No. 14 cable (with 90Â° C minimum insulation) is recommended for making electrical connections. Wiring is accomplished through the wiring box provided on the fixture. The box is provided with a size 3/4-in. NPT threaded conduit opening. Wiring methods must comply with NFPA 70 (The National Electrical Code), Article 501 for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous (Classified) Locations. To get inside the unit, open the door, loosen the (2) screws holding the reflector and remove the reflector. Verify the correct supply voltage and lamp wattage. Bulb not included.
