' Product Overview '
Made in the USA The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-BL-MGB from Larson Electronics is a Hazardous Area Fluorescent Light Fixture with Remote Mount External Magnetic Ballast & Glass Lens that is ETL approved for use in Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D hazardous areas. The HALSS-48-2L-BL-EB is NRTL certified to UL 1598A standards and is specifically designed to withstand high vibration locations and the rigors of wet and corrosive marine environments. This fixture includes an emergency power backup providing 90 minutes of runtime in the event of power failure. The ballast for the HALSS-EMG-48-2L-BL-MGB is an internal magnetic ballast. The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-BL-MGB hazardous area fluorescent light fixture features a glass lens and is designed for use in wet areas and saltwater-marine environments where corrosion resistance is critical to equipment longevity and safety. This Class I Division 2 rated fixture is constructed of non-corrosive materials including a stainless steel housing, a poured in gasket for reliable sealing, and an impact resistant acrylic diffuser. Corrosion resistant stainless steel latches secure the lamp cover to the housing and provide a firm lock against the poured in seal to prevent drips and water intrusion. A specially designed ballast box is built in that adds emergency light functionality to the fixture. This hazardous location emergency light fixture will run one lamp at 900 lumens for 90 minutes after power is lost. The light recharges the battery once electrical power is restored. This fixture is NRTL certified to UL 844 standards and Class I Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D approved. The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-BL-MGB also carries NRTL certifications to both UL 1598A and UL 595 outdoor marine rating standards and meets US Coast Guard specifications.

Stainless steel construction, high impact acrylic lamp covers, a Class I Division 2 ETL rating, and an emergency battery backup make this light ideal for areas that require illumination with above average dependability. The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-BL-MGB has an electronic multi-voltage magnetic ballast and works with 120 Volt 60 HZ, 220 Volt 50 HZ, 240 Volt 60 HZ and 277 Volts 60 HZ. 24 Volt models available on request for an additional $100 per unit charge. Standard Flange Brackets: Stainless steel bracket mounts attached at each end of the fixture enables it to be simply secured to any surface. The mounts provide flexibility in setting the angle of the fixture. Three through holes provide sufficient mounting for any environment. Suggested Applications: The HALSS-EMG-48-2L-BL-MGB is designed for marine wet and damp locations, where corrosion resistant fluorescent lights are required. This lamp is also ideal for locations where heavy vibratory conditions are present. This includes petrochemical facilities, lubrication pits, oil drilling rigs, crew quarters, solvent/cleaning areas, water treatment areas, processing plants and marine loading docks.
