The Larson Electronics HML-5M is a high powered 10 million candle power military spotlight that operates on 24V. This portable spotlight is equipped with a 100 pound grip magnetic, 7" powder coated handle, and solid polypropylene reverse pistol grip handle. A tension hinge enables the lamp housing to tilt 140° up and down, 360° rotation, and keep the position once released.
This hand operated magnetic spotlight is effective for semi-permanent mounting and handheld use when high powered illumination is required. The 100 pound grip magnetic base holds the light in place on protective barriers, vehicle panels, and gun turrets on the military HUMVEE, even under the most aggressive road and off-road conditions. Hunters may use this light while mounted to the top of the vehicle. When spotting, they can move the light quickly to follow the movement of the animal. Once the animal is identified, the tension hinge will semi lock in the light and operators can move in on foot. The military uses this base in a similar fashion, scanning th peripheral for assailants, roadside bombs, etc. However, once the convoy is stopped and the shooting begins, the rotation and tilt angles are semi locked in, reducing the light from straying away from its target during vehicle or artillery related vibration that can alter the angle of the lighting.
