This spotlight has a 60 watt LED assembly which produces a 5,556 lumen spot beam. This spotlight includes a detachable 16 foot cord terminated in a cigarette plug, battery clamps, or ring terminals for easy connection to vehicle and equipment power sources. This durable and weatherproof spotlight is ruggedly designed to withstand heavy duty use and includes a 16 foot cord and voltage range from 9-48V DC to allow connection to any vehicle, heavy equipment, ATV, or any low voltage DC power source. Twelve CREE XLamp XPG® five watt LEDs producing 525 lumens each are paired with high purity 10 degree optics to produce a tightly focused spot beam. We also offer optional floodlight versions with a 40 degree beam spread to provide more light over a larger area nearer the fixture, making flood versions ideal for use as work and area lights. This LED light bar is designed to withstand extreme vibratory conditions and is waterproof to 3 meters, sealed against intrusion by dust and dirt and built to survive use in the most demanding environments. This beam is strong enough to allow operators to read signs, license plates, addresses and other similar markings at the far end of its total range. Power options include 12-24 volt DC compatability for use with most common vehicle, boat or ATV electrical systems. The light draws 5 amps @ 12V and 2.5 @ 24V. This spotlight is a powerful and rugged design ideal for use in hunting, utility, emergency, industrial/commercial and military/law enforcement applications. |
| Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units contain advanced drivers which use pulse width modulation to control heat buildup rather than simple voltage regulators which are typically harsh on sensitive electronics and can contribute to early LED failure. These units automatically sense the temperature of each LED and adjust the energy frequency or “duty cycle†accordingly to maintain heat levels within acceptable ranges. This system in essence flashes current at an extremely fast on and off rate to each LED based upon the LED’s core temperature. This flash rate is too fast to detect with the human eye, but provides precise control of the current flowing to each LED and thus the heat it generates. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 100% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The LEDs are always driven at the same voltage but the duty cycle, however, is changed to alter how long the LEDs are actually on or off. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours. Durability: The HUL-LEDP5W Spotlight is constructed of impact resistant materials including an aluminum housing and polycarbonate lens and handle. The lamp assembly is sealed against water and dust and the entire unit is IP68 rated waterproof to 3 meters. As well as unparalleled heat control, the LEDP5W series of LED light bars from Larson Electronics also offer IP68 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three meters and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from extruded aluminum and the lenses are unbreakable polycarbonate. The CREE XLamp XPG® LEDs offer resistance to shocks and vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 50,0000 hours of use. Power: Each HUL-LEDP5W Spotlight comes with a detachable 16 foot coil cord with cigarette plug. The cord is detached via a weatherproof, 2 pin Deutsch connector which easily and securely attaches and detaches the coil cord from the spotlight. Other cords, including 21 foot cords with ring terminals, 16 foot cord with spring battery clamps (alligator clips), and a 16 foot straight cord with cigarette plug (C-16CP) are available.
