The Larson Electronics IND-AHC-CR-12-UVC-R1-120V Industrial UV Sanitation Ventilation Fan actively disinfects air and promotes air flow for spaces requiring ventilation. Suitable for elevators, this unit is equipped with a compact ventilation fan and fluorescent UVC lamps for effective UV treatment. The UV air disinfection fan operates on 120V AC and is designed for canopies or ceilings with 12"OD openings.
***PLEASE NOTE: UV-C light can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision, and temporary acute redness or ulceration (mild to severe sunburn) to exposed skin. To prevent exposure, do not operate the device in any application that allows UV-C light to be visible during operation. NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE BULB OR DISINFECTING TARGET ZONE. DO NOT touch bulb with bare hands. The oils in your skin will damage the lamp. Fingerprints will result in reduced performance and significantly reduce the lifespan of the lamp unless they are removed with alcohol. Please read instruction manual for UV safety requirements before operating.

The IND-AHC-CR-12-UVC-R1-120V is a powerful sanitation solution for elevators and rooms requiring disinfection. Equipped with UVC fluorescent lamps, this system offers UV output, within the 200nm - 280nm UV-C range (254 nm peak). The lights have an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern inside the UV chamber to maximize light distribution during UV treatment. Air is drawn into the UV chamber via a square fan with 161 CFM air flow capacity. The bottom of the unit contains a vent with an air filter. Constructed of steel, the UV lights are enclosed inside the device preventing UV exposure in occupied areas.
Operation:
Surrounding "dirty" air is drawn into the UV sanitation unit via a ventilation fan. The "dirty" air passes through the UV sanitation chamber where it is treated with UVC light using powerful fluorescent lamps. The disinfection process kills up to 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, mold, spores and other harmful microbes. Clean sanitized air exits the chamber through the bottom base, which is equipped with a vent and air filter, and is released into the environment. This low-maintenance air disinfection process is continuous.

The IND-AHC-CR-12-UVC-R1-120V can be installed on canopies, openings or ceilings (such as elevators) for use with existing air systems. This unit is compatible with 12" OD openings.
Note on Environment:
Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
