The LED65WRE-CPR-PTB-1227 from Larson Electronics is a High-Intensity LED Light with Remote Controlled Pan Tilt Base that produces 4,355 lumens of light that creates a 10Â° spot beam that reaches up to 3000 feet in length. The LED65WRE-CPR-PTB-1227 LED light with pan/tilt base from Larson Electronics produces 4,355 lumens of bright light while drawing 0.54 amps from a 120 volt electrical system. A single Cree 65 watt LED producing 4,355 lumens is combined with a high output reflector to produce a narrow 10 degree spread spot beam approximately 3,000` long. The light head is ultra compact measuring at 6.7" OD lamp head and 18.82" tall with the pan/tilt base which makes it ideal for applications where electrical power and mounting space is at a premium.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units contain advanced drivers which use pulse width modulation to control heat buildup rather than simple voltage regulators which are typically harsh on sensitive electronics and can contribute to early LED failure. These units automatically sense the temperature of each LED and adjust the energy frequency or â€œduty cycleâ€ accordingly to maintain heat levels within acceptable ranges. This system in essence flashes current at an extremely fast on and off rate to each LED based upon the LEDâ€™s core temperature. This flash rate is too fast to detect with the human eye, but provides precise control of the current flowing to each LED and thus the heat it generates. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 100% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The LEDs are always driven at the same voltage but the duty cycle, however, is changed to alter how long the LEDs are actually on or off. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours.
Power/Voltage: The LED65WRE-CPR-PTB-1227 includes an inline power converter that allows this unit to operate on 120-277V AC current. The included power converter provides a safe and effective way for users to tap into and utilize common 100 to 277 Volt AC power sources and convert this current to the 12 Volts DC or 24 Volts DC required to power the pan/tilt base and LED light head. This power converter features an IP67 rated waterproof design, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor use and is wet-damp area approved. This converter includes integral short circuit, over voltage, over temperature and overload protection that will shut down the unit or reduce output in case of faults and overloads to protect the unit and connected equipment from damage.
Measuring 9.6 inches long by 2.6 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep, this unit weighs approximately one pound and is mounted with two conventional screws via slots that allow removal and repositioning simply by loosening the screws. IP67 rated, this unit is waterproof, wet and damp area approved and suitable for indoor or outdoor applications. Integrally designed protection includes overload, short circuit, over temperature and over voltage safeguards to prevent overheating and unit damage in case of faults or overly heavy current draw. This unit will limit current when an over current condition is encountered and recovers when the condition is removed. This unit will enter hiccup mode under short circuit conditions and recover when the fault is removed. The unit will also shut down when an over temperature condition occurs and recovers automatically when the temperature returns to normal levels.
This power converter has a -30Â°C / +60Â°C operating temperature range and is UL UL1012 and UL60950-1 compliant as well as compliant with worldwide safety regulations for lighting. This unit has a 90% conversion efficiency and is suitable for use with moving LED signs and similar LED equipment. These units also feature Power Factor Correction, adjustable output current range from 8 ~ 16A either through the output cable or internal potential meter and have an input frequency range of 47 ~ 63Hz.

These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three meters and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from extruded aluminum and the lenses are unbreakable polycarbonate. The Cree LEDs offer resistance to shocks and vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours of use.
Mounting: The LED65WRE-CPR-PTB-1227 features a remote controlled pan/tilt base that provides operators with a remote way to control lights, cameras, and other equipment mounted to the base. Wired and wireless remote controls are provided with this unit providing flexibility in the field. This unit is constructed of die-cast aluminum and powder coated for added corrosion resistance. The internal gears of the base provide no slip and no "slop" during operation and the pan/tilt base holds its position after movement has stopped. Mounting is provided via four-corner thru-holes. This pan/tilt base will keep its position during storms and strong winds, and holds up to vibrations in vehicle and offshore applications. The base also allows the light to be turned on and off.
Hard wired and wireless remote controls are both included with the LED65WRE-CPR-PTB-1227. The wireless remote control is operated from the wireless key fob, is battery operated, and controls up, down, left, right, and on/off. The hard wired remote provides 25` of cable with an Am phenol 10-SL waterproof disconnect at the base of the fixture. The handheld wired remote is located 15` from the light, with a 10` from the light leading to the power source.
Wiring/Plug: This general use LED light fixture with remote controlled pan/tilt base is equipped with 25 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord between the transformer and light base and an additional 5` of cable from the transformer that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V.
