Made in the USA The Larson Electronics LM-20-3S-FM-ALU-EW Fixed Light Mast with Electric Winches provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras and other equipment to elevations up to 20 feet. This anodized aluminum light tower features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, two electric winches and a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. When purchasing this unit, please choose between the following voltages: 120V or 240V. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* This telescoping three stage light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in marine locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 20` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 20` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 12` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of aluminum with a lower section that is 12` in length and 4" in diameter, middle section that is 8` in length and 3.5" in diameter, and an upper section that is 6` and 3" in diameter. Each section has an overlap of 2 feet. The mast is elevated using an included 1,000 lbs electric winch with 3/16" cable and extended to its full height using a second 1,000 lbs electric winch. The fixed light tower is finished with an anodized coating. This type of protection is resistant to chipping, peeling, chemicals, saltwater, exposure to UV light and corrosion. Because of this, anodized aluminum is capable of withstanding harsh elements in marine locations (oceans, beaches, pools, docks, ports and more). The anodizing process is environmentally safe and actively reduces the onset of oxidation typically experienced by less durable materials. This makes anodized aluminum an ideal choice for areas that are prone to high humidity and constantly exposed to corrosive chemicals, such as chlorine. As a solution for marine locations, anodizing is capable of increasing the overall thickness of the aluminum oxide layer.
The standard finish for the LM series of towers is powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics (this model is anodized). These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 15" by 13" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 1/2" anchor bolts. A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for mounting fixtures and equipment. The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 12`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.  The electric winch on this mast is offered in 120V or 240V AC 50/60 HZ. Additional voltage options are available at an additional charge. Larson Electronics can offer single phase and three phase AC winches, or low voltage DC winches. The LM-20-3S-FM-ALU-EW is compatible with 120V AC or 240V AC (choose the preferred voltage below when ordering). This light tower weighs approximately 200 lbs and can easily support and lift 100 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 16.5` long, 4` wide, 5` tall and weighs approximately 540 lbs. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. We also offer a choice of either the manual 1,000 lbs hand winches included standard or optional electric winches. Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, construction sites, and security camera deployment.
