' Product Overview '
Made in Texas The LM-20-6.5-5S-ATM-FM-EW-MOD1-24V from Larson Electronics is a Five Stage Fixed Mount Communication Tower that provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy equipment for mobile communication operations. This automatic light tower features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation and an antenna mount pole (located at the top of the tower). The system has an automatic winch that elevates the mast when power is turned on, and collapses the mast when power is turned off for easy extension and retraction. The LM-20-6.5-5S-ATM-FM-EW-MOD1-24V operates from 24V DC power sources. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* This telescoping five stage steel mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy mobile communication systems in temporary locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 20` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 20` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 6.5` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. This allows operators to collapse the mast and leave it in the upright position during transit if desired depending on equipment mounted to the mast head). The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 4.54` in length and 6" by 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 4.73` in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 4.92` in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, upper section 5.10` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and an top section 5.60` in length and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has an overlap of at least 12 inches. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 2,500 lbs automatic winch with 3/16" galvanized steel cable. This unit comes with an antenna mount pole (2" OD x 24") at the top of the tower.

The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 15" by 13" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 9/16" anchor bolts. Operation: The LM-20-6.5-5S-ATM-FM-EW-MOD1-24V features an automatic winch system. When power is turned on, the mast will elevate automatically, and when power is cut, the mast will lower itself. In a portable application, when this mast is trailer mounted to a utility trailer and power for the utility trailer is connected to 24V DC mains power or a generator, the mast will automatically elevate itself. When the job is done and power to the utility trailer is disconnected, the mast will then lower itself to transport position. This automatic system also works for stationary power to operate the mast up/down via a simple power switch. When operators turn the switch on (providing power to mast), the mast goes up. When operators turn the switch off (disconnecting power to mast), the mast goes down. The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 6`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with easy in either direction. The mast can be positioned in any direction and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with easy, and can typically be rotated with a single hand. This light tower weighs approximately 315 lbs, can easily support and lift 150 lbs. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 7 feet long, 4 feet wide, 3 feet tall and weighs approximately 350 lbs. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer`s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. For example, the LM-30-3S is another model that reaches to a length of 30 feet, with a 14 foot lower section, 12 foot middle section, and a 8 foot upper section and a 4 foot wide upper mounting bracket. We also offer a choice of either the manual 1,000 lbs hand winches included standard or optional electric winches. Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, construction sites, and security camera deployment. We can equip this mast with 1000W or 1500W Metal Halide lights or a wide variety of high powered LED lights with comparable power, including the , , or .
