' Product Overview '
The J12196 LED Dolly Cart Quadpod Light Tower offers 54,000 lumens of intense illumination in a portable assembly. The 2,000 sq/feet temporary lighting solution, which fully extends to 22 feet and retracts to 7.25 feet for storage, consists of four, 100-watt LED lamps. Constructed of aluminum, the LED tower features automatic braking during deployment and four outriggers for stability on rugged terrain. A quick disconnect is included allowing operator to remove the LED light head. The J12196 is a portable lighting solution for outdoor locations, industrial facilities and temporary sites. This unit consists of four, 100-watt LED lamps which are mounted on a dolly quadpod cart with two rubber tires. Capable of providing 2,000 sq/ft of effective coverage, the tower can be extended to 22 feet and retracted to 7.25 feet for storage. An automatic braking feature secures the position of the mast without manual locking. Capable of withstanding 45 mph winds, the unit is supported by outriggers for stable deployment. The LED lamps on the quadpod tower operate on 120-277V AC and produces 54,000 lumens of high intensity light while drawing only 400 watts. Each LED fixture is equipped with 9 CREE® high output LEDs producing 1,500 lumens each, which are arranged in rows and paired with PMMA high purity optics to produce a well focused 24° wide spot beam that is ideal for providing far reaching concentrated illumination while still covering a substantial amount of area. We also offer optional optics with 10° spot, 38° narrow flood, 60° flood, and 90° wide flood beam spreads. The spot beams are tightly focused and are designed for high elevation mounting to achieve distance, making spot versions ideal for high mast and spots lighting. The flood beams are designed to provide more light over a larger area nearer the fixture, making flood versions ideal for use as dedicated work and area lights. An included disconnect allow operators to remove the light head from the top of the mast to safely transport it.

J12196 lights are ideal replacements for fragile and hot running metal halide lamps. They offer low power requirements, high durability and a versatile mounting system that makes these LED light emitters a superior lighting solution for demanding applications where power and reliability is critical. The heavy duty design and high power of these LED lights also makes them suitable for a wide array of applications including but not limited to: high mast lighting, light towers, light plant LED retrofits, military, mining, industrial manufacturing, machine visioning, security and law enforcement, commercial structure illumination, sport complexes, billboards, race tracks, and parking lots to name a few. Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units feature individual heat sinks per bank of six LEDs to control heat buildup rather than utilizing a single housing to dissipate heat. This allows for more thorough cooling of the LEDs for extended operating periods. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 90% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 80,000 hours. Durability: As well as unparalleled heat control, the LED lights from Larson Electronics offer IP67 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40° Celsius to +80° Celsius, are waterproof, and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from die cast aluminum and the optics are high transmission PMMA with 98% light transmittance. The CREE® LEDs help these units achieve resistance to vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 80,0000 hours of use. We recommend these LED lights for use in applications where a lot of vibration, dust, dirt, dampness and abusive working conditions are encountered. Quadpod Tower: The LED lamps are mounted on a dolly quadpod with two rubber tires. This system is capable of reaching heights up to 22 feet for effective coverage and collapsed to 7.25 feet for storage. The tower is constructed of lightweight aluminum and can be elevated using an included manual hand crank winch with a 3/16" galvanized steel cable. An automatic braking safety feature stops the tower from retracting without needing to lock the position manually into place. For extra stability, four retractable outriggers measuring 37.75" each can be extended in a diagonal `X` configuration. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped weighs approximately 375 lbs. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. For example, the LM-25 is a light tower model that reaches a length of 25 feet, with a 15 foot lower section, 10 foot upper section and a 4 foot wide upper mounting bracket. We also offer a choice of either the manual 1,000 lbs hand winches included standard or optional electric winches. Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, sports lighting, concerts, field lighting, outdoor conferences, stadium lighting, outdoor illumination, portable deployment, construction sites, and security camera deployment.
