Equipped with auto retract and an anchor, this hydraulic light tower folds over for easy transportation, features a hydraulic ram upright assist, hydraulic mast and high output fixtures. The entire self-contained assembly is mounted onto a large skid mount for direct access to all of the lighting system`s components.
*PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS*
The LM-SMWB-HLM65-20X1000W-MH-SYNC Light Plant is a self-contained, high power light tower package. This unit includes a hydraulic telescoping light mast which can elevate twenty high output metal halide lamps to heights above 65`. Equipped with auto retract for automated management of the mast and an anchor for robust stability during deployment, the hydraulic tower is capable of reaching heights up to 74` with the light head assembly, which measures 9` in height. This mobile floodlight package is ideal for large scale event illumination, construction, mining, industrial operations, and anywhere a mobile full power lighting system capable of extended operation is needed.
This light tower is offered in 120/240V single phase, 240/120V three phase or 208/120V three phase. Sync`d controls allow multiple Metatowers to be connected together. In such configuration, operation for the linked Megatowers are faciliated by a single control station.
This telescoping seven stage hydraulic light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy high intensity metal halide lighting in locations where illumination must be elevated to heights above 65` (from ground to mast head; 74` in total height with 9` light head assembly) for effective coverage. This light boom can be collapsed to 22` for applications where a footprint smaller is required. The tower is constructed of heat treated aluminum tubing with 2.69` foot of overlap per section. The mast is elevated using an included hydraulic ram and extended to its full height using a second hydraulic system.
A 90" wide by 109.5" tall and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick steel mast head is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the twenty metal halide light heads.
Lights: The LM-SMWB-HLM65-20X1000W-MH-SYNC Hydraulic Megatower™ from Larson Electronics features twenty 1,000-watt metal halide fixtures. Each module produces 110,000 lumens for an impressive lumen total of 2,200,000 lumens which provides operators with a superior lighting solution for even the most challenging areas to illuminate. To ensure even coverage of wide areas, the modules used on this hydraulic light plant are configured in Larson Electronics for even distribution pattern. Ballasts for the metal halide lights are located away from the fixtures and can be found at the base of the tower.
The fixtures produce exceptional illumination using a 19” aluminum reflector housing that spreads a powerful flood pattern of high quality light over large areas. The metal halide lamps are secured within a separate die cast housing for strength and durability while a clear tempered glass lens provides protection for the lamp. The 19” reflector on this lamp is constructed of aluminum with a clear tempered glass lens which is hinged onto the reflector and secured into place with a four-point latching system. The lamp socket is die cast aluminum and separate from the reflector for added durability. The reflector and lamp socket assembly are secured together as one unit which makes installation simple and straightforward. Vertical and horizontal aiming guides are included in the lamps` design which makes aiming the metal halide units during operation easier and safer, protecting users from the potential burns associated with handling the fixtures. A stainless steel hinge provides durable adjustability and corrosion resistance.

Telescoping Boom: The hydraulic telescoping boom is constructed of heat treated aluminum with a powder coated finish and extends above 65` in height from the ground to the mast head and 74` of total height with the light assembly (measures 9` in height). This boom is raised from and lowered to the folded position by a single hydraulic ram and extended or retracted by a second hydraulic system.
Auto Retract: To prevent damage and shaking from strong winds during operation, this light tower is equipped with a robust wind monitoring system. When exposed to strong winds, such as 40 mph, the system automatically retracts the mast for safe operation. In a retracted state, operators must re-adjust the height of the mast back to its original height (or another preferred height). This cutting-edge feature is designed to improve safety at industrial work sites.
This light plant can withstand 35 mph winds before auto retract when fully extended, with standard guy wires to the outriggers. When guy wires are applied 60 feet out from the side of the trailer, the light tower can withstand 50 mph winds before auto retract. When auto retract is activated, operators must send the mast back to its original position or preferred height setting.
Wiring/Controls: The metal halide light heads are grouped into banks of four. Each bank in wired into the NEMA 3R breaker control box at the base of the mast. Operators control the light heads via an on/off switched breaker per bank of four light heads. The hydraulics and battery charger are also powered from within this breaker box. The mast elevation is controlled by a push button switch to operate the hydraulic ram allowing operators to raise the mast to the upright position. The vertical deployment is operated by a second push button switch allowing operators to extend it to its full 58` height or retract it to the collapsed height.
Skid Mount: The entire unit is mounted onto a large skid mount system for incorporating all of the necessary lighting equipment/components in one, readily available package. This skid mount includes a front mounted storage area for stowing tools and accessories. The skid mount is finished in industrial grade Dupont™ paint for protection against rust and corrosion and provides an attractive finish. Overall dimensions of the entire mounting system and boom assembly in the stowed for travel configuration is 21` long by 8` wide. Pickeyes located at every corner of the unit are available for transporting via crane lift or air transport in remote locations.
Six 7,000 lbs hand crank jacks are used for raising the unit up off the ground, and four 7,000 lbs hand crank jacks mounted on extending outriggers are used for leveling and stabilizing the assembly. Each of the four jacks are attached to a pivoting outrigger constructed of 6` by 6" by 6.3" steel I-beams. The jacks can be leveled by hand crank or attachment provided for power drills. These outriggers can be extended 6` out from the side of the unit for added stability. Custom builds can be provided for higher wind speed resistance when fully raised.
An anchor at the bottom of the skid provides stability, which can be deployed to a concrete pad.
We offer a choice of finishing, equipped light heads, and with or without gensets. These towers can be fitted with Larson Electronics line of high output light heads, or customize the mast head to meet the mounting requirements for your equipment. Optional diesel generators and fuel cells can be equipped from factory, or retrofitted after purchase.

Refund Policy
Return & Refund Policy
For All non-Larson Products If you are not satisfied with a product, contact us by emailing or call 1-844-787-LITE within 30 days of receipt. A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
