' Product Overview '
Made in the USA The Larson Electronics LM-TSM-50-13-5S-4X1000W-MH-RD skid mount metal halide light plant provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy 4,000 watts of intense lighting to elevations up to 50 feet. The four, 1,000-watt metal halide lamps produce a wide spread of intense white light, allowing this unit to effectively cover large work areas with high quality illumination. The light tower features a manual crank winch for deployment and a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. The fixtures are supported by a cube frame with skid pockets, polyurethane casters, Lunnett style tow hitch and 4-corner pick eyes for easy transportation. Each assembly is equipped with 100` of 14/3 SOOW cord and can be configured to operate on 120V or 240V AC.  *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* The LM-TSM-50-13-5S-4X1000W-MH-RD five stage telescoping steel light mast with manual hand crank winch from Larson Electronics is designed to quickly and safely deploy 4,000 watts of intense metal halide lighting in locations where elevated illumination is needed for maximum area coverage. This light boom can be extended to 50` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 13` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 11` in length and 6" x 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 11` in length and 5" x 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 11` in length and 4" x 4" by 1/8" thick, an upper section 11` in length and 3" x 3" by 1/8" thick, and a top section 11` in length and 2" x 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 15-18" overlap. The mast is elevated using an included 2,500 lbs manual hand crank winch with 3/16" galvanized steel cable. The lighting system on this unit is comprised of four 1,000 watt metal halide lamps attached to the end of the 50` light mast. These floodlights produce a total of 440,000 lumens of white light in a wide flood beam pattern, capable of illuminating a minimum of 5 acres. Each floodlight is supported with a round aluminum reflector, tempered glass lens, silicone gaskets for moisture and dust protection and on/off switches. Each metal halide fixture is securely fastened to the light boom and each lamp includes a support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. The mast head positions one light on each side of the mast, and each light head can be positioned verically and horizontally independent of each other. The lamps are connected to the power source via a water tight male connector that extends from the junction box attached to the mast head and attaches to a mating female connector, providing power to the fixtures. The lamps are connected to the power source via a water tight male pin connector that attaches to a receptacle located on the end of the telescoping boom.

The towers and assembly is powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. The mast and controls are secured within a triangle-style frame constructed of 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick and measuring 48" wide by 48" long by 53" tall. Four 4` slide out outriggers with 1,000 lbs manual crank leveling jacks allow operators to anchor the unit down, providing stability during deployment. Four skid pockets allow this unit to be picked up from the sides. 8" polyurethane swivel casters allow this unit to be maneuvered into position easily, and the Lunnette eye ring on folding hitch allow this tower to be towed around the job site via a pintle receiver hitch. A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the four metal halide light fixtures. The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. This light plant system can withstand winds up to 125+ mph when lowered to 8`, and up to 55 mph when fully extended. The mast is operated via centrally located control box with power switches within the cube frame, allowing operators to power the metal light fixtures on or off. Wiring is provided via 100` 14/3 SOOW cable terminated in a 20 amp L5-15 (120V) or L6-20 (240V) twist lock plug. A manual roll up drum mounted within the steel cage frame provides storage for the power cable. All electrical components are UL/cUL listed. Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, construction sites, and security camera deployment. We can equip this mast with 1000W or 1500W Metal Halide lights or a wide variety of high powered LED lights with comparable power, including the , , or .
