The LM-WM-30-8.75-5S-FM-4X500LTL-LED-LV from Larson Electronics is a 5-Stage Light Tower that provides operators with 1,920 watts of high-intensity LED lighting power that can be raised to heights up to 30 feet to for areas that require far reaching illumination. The four LED light heads on this unit each produce 60,000 lumens for a total of 240,000 lumens of LED lighting power. The tower itself features dual mounting brackets for easy installation and sturdy mounting performance. The LM-WM-30-8.75-5S-FM-4X500LTL-LED-LV is hardwired and can operate on 12V DC, 24V DC or 48V DC low voltages. Make selection below when ordering.
Light Tower:
The Larson Electronics LM-WM-30-8.75-5S-FM-4X500LTL-LED-LV Dual Fixed Mount 5-stage low voltage light mast provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras and other equipment to elevations of up to thirty feet. This light tower collapses down to 8.75 feet for easy transportation, features two surface mount brackets for improved stability and a removable mast head for storing the mounted LED light heads when not in use.
This telescoping five stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy 240,000 lumens of lighting power in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 30` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 30` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 8.75` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 6.6` in length and 6" by 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 6.78` in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 6.93` in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, upper section 7.08` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and top section 7.58` in length and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 1`+ overlap. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 3,000 lbs hand winch with 3/16" galvenized steel cable.
The LM series of telescoping towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. This light mast is mounted via the two surface mounting brackets found near the bottom of the tower. Each mounting bracket accepts four bolts. With two mounting brackets used to secure the light tower, operators are left with a stable and durable light tower. A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the included four LED light heads. The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 8.75`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph.
Light Heads:
The LM-WM-30-8.75-5S-FM-4X500LTL-LED-LV features four of the Larson Electronics
GAU-LTL-500W-LED
LED light heads that feature an IP67 waterproof rating, an 80,000+ hour service life and provide operators with a rugged and powerful LED alternative to 1500 watt metal halide lamps that uses little power and can withstand rugged use and abusive conditions.
The GAU-LTL-500W-LED LED light from Larson Electronics produces 60,000 lumens of high intensity light while drawing only 480 watts at 40 amps from a 12 volt DC electrical system. Fourty-Eight CREE high output LEDs producing 1,250 lumens each are arranged in rows and paired with PMMA high purity optics to produce a well focused 24° wide spot beam that is ideal for providing far reaching concentrated illumination while still covering a substantial amount of area. We also offer optional optics with 10° spot, 38° narrow flood, 60° flood, and 90° wide flood beam spreads. The spot beams are tightly focused and are designed for high elevation mounting to achieve distance, making spot versions ideal for high mast and spots lighting. The flood beams are designed to provide more light over a larger area nearer the fixture, making flood versions ideal for use as dedicated work and area lights.
GAU-LTL-500W-LED lights are ideal replacements for fragile and hot running 1500 watt metal halide lamps. They offer low power requirements, high durability and a versatile mounting system that makes these LED light emitters a superior lighting solution for demanding applications where power and reliability is critical. The heavy duty design and high power of these LED lights also makes them suitable for a wide array of applications
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
The above image shows the comparison of the traditional (4) 1500 watt metal halides light fixtures mounted to a 30` light tower (left) to (4) GAU-LTL-500W-LED 500 watt LED light fixtures mounted to a 30` light tower. The area being illuminated by each tower is 300` in length and 250` in width. Unlike the metal halide light fixtures, there are no hot spots with these LED fixtures. This high output LED light fixture provides an even beam spread over the targeted work area without overcast, glare, light spillage, and wasted illumination. Color rendering is also increased with LED light plants, providing a more realistic night vision that more closely resembles natural daylight illumination.
Heat Management:
Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units feature individual heat sinks per bank of six LEDs to control heat buildup rather than utilizing a single housing to dissipate heat. This allows for more thorough cooling of the LEDs for extended operating periods. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 90% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 80,000 hours.
Durability:
As well as unparalleled heat control, the GAU-LTL-500W-LED series of LED lights from Larson Electronics also offer IP67 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40° Celsius to +80° Celsius, are waterproof, and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from die cast aluminum and the optics are high transmission PMMA with 98% light transmittance. The CREE LEDs help these units achieve resistance to vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 80,000 hours of use. We recommend these LED lights for use in applications where a lot of vibration, dust, dirt, dampness and abusive working conditions are encountered.
Wiring/Plug:
This 5-stage LED low voltage light tower is equipped with 45 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is terminated in flying leads for hard wiring.
This light tower weighs approximately 360 lbs (approximately 490 lbs with light heads and upper mounting plate attached) and can easily support and lift 150 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 9.5` long, 4` wide, 5` tall and weighs approximately 1100 lbs. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates.
