' Product Overview '
The Larson Electronics single output industrial power supply is designed to convert input voltages ranging between 180-550VAC and 254-780VDC to 24V DC at 10 amps. This device may be installed on DIN Rail TS-35/7.5 or 15 and supports the following protection mechanisms: overload, short circuit, over voltage and over temperature. The 240-watt unit is suitable for use in marine-related installations, electro-mechanical applications, semi-conductor fabrication equipment and factory automation. Features: This single output power supply supports single and two phase wide input range at 180-550VAC. It may be used to safely convert such input voltage range to 24VDC for compatibility with equipment that requires 24VDC current. The device may be applied to operate equipment up to 240 watts. The converter features a voltage adjustment range of 24-28V with a voltage tolerance of +/- one percent. It also supports a working temperature range of -30 - +70°C and a working humidity range of 20-95 percent. The industrial power supply comes with overload, over circuit, over temperature and short circuit protection. In the event of over temperature (90°C ±5°C), the unit will shut down the operating voltage and recover automatically after temperature normalization. Should over voltage occur (29-33V), the unit will also shut down the operating voltage and automatically recover after one minute (when the fault condition is removed). This device features an input efficiency rate of 91 percent and low power dissipation. It supports cooling by free air convection and a built-in DC OK relay contact. The converter is UL 508 approved for industrial control equipment. NOTE: In order to obtain the best performance and the longest operational life from these units, it is recommended that you do not exceed 75% of the unit’s output amperage. To determine if this converter suits your desired application, add together the total wattage of the equipment you intend to use with this unit and divide this total by 12 volts to find the total amperage draw that will be placed upon the converter. For example, if you are using two of our LEDP10W-120E 120 watt LED lights, 120 watts divided by 12 volts is 10 amps. This would mean the DCP-16-DP is well suited as it would run at under 75% capacity to produce the necessary 10 amps. Running these units at 100% of their capacity can create excess heat and lead to shortened converter life.
