The Larson Electronics PLM-18-CCTV-3X160LTL-2X8MP.360.POE-KT Pneumatic Light Tower Security Mast provides cutting-edge security and illumination in remote areas and outdoor sites. Capable of extending to 20 feet and collapsing to 8 feet, the monitoring system features two IP66 rated cameras and three 150-watt high intensity LED lights. All hose/fittings and air compressor (120V) are included with the unit.
The PLM-18-CCTV-3X160LTL-2X8MP.360.POE-KT is a complete light tower security solution for outdoor locations and remote work sites. This system consists of three 150-watt LED lamps and two outdoor security cameras, which are mounted to a pneumatic tower for elevated operation. The light boom can be extended to 20 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 8 feet to bring equipment closer to the target area as well as for transport and storage.
The tower is constructed of high strength, heat treated aluminum tubing for durability. This tower is comprised of three 6.7` sections, and includes a locking top mounting plate for easy removal of lights or cameras. A 120V air compressor and all hose/fittings are included with the system.
An air release valve located at the base of this pneumatic mast allows operators to lower the tower. The 16/7 AWG wiring is internally routed, meaning no loose wiring when the tower is collapsed and no exposed wiring to fray or become damaged. The system includes an internal wiring harness (2) 1.5sq mm for AC power, (2) 2.5sq mm for DC power, (1) RG59 video cable, and (1) CAT5e cable with 12 inches extending from both ends of the tower.
LED Lights:
The PLM-18-CCTV-3X160LTL-2X8MP.360.POE-KT is equipped with three high intensity LED lights. Each LED lamp produces 20,250 lumens of high intensity light while drawing only 150 watts at 1.25 amps from a 120 volt electrical system. Sixteen CREE high output LEDs producing 1,350 lumens each are arranged in rows and paired with PMMA high purity optics to produce a well focused 24° wide spot beam that is ideal for providing far reaching concentrated illumination while still covering a substantial amount of area. We also offer optional optics with 10° spot, 38° narrow flood, 60° flood, and 90° wide flood beam spreads. The spot beams are tightly focused and are designed for high elevation mounting to achieve distance, making spot versions ideal for high mast and spots lighting. The flood beams are designed to provide more light over a larger area nearer the fixture, making flood versions ideal for use as dedicated work and area lights.
The LED lights are ideal replacements for fragile and hot running 400 watt metal halide lamps. They offer low power requirements, high durability and a versatile mounting system that makes these LED light emitters a superior lighting solution for demanding applications where power and reliability is critical. The heavy duty design and high power of these LED lights also makes them suitable for a wide array of applications including but not limited to: high mast lighting, light towers, light plant LED retrofits, military, mining, industrial manufacturing, machine visioning, security and law enforcement, commercial structure illumination, sport complexes, billboards, race tracks, and parking lots to name a few.
Heat Management:
Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units feature individual heat sinks per bank of six LEDs to control heat buildup rather than utilizing a single housing to dissipate heat. This allows for more thorough cooling of the LEDs for extended operating periods. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 90% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 80,000 hours.
Durability:
As well as unparalleled heat control, the LED lights from Larson Electronics also offer IP67 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40° Celsius to +80° Celsius, are waterproof, and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from die cast aluminum and the optics are high transmission PMMA with 98% light transmittance. The CREE LEDs help these units achieve resistance to vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 80,000 hours of use. We recommend these LED lights for use in applications where a lot of vibration, dust, dirt, dampness and abusive working conditions are encountered.

Camera Features:
The dual cameras each contain a built-in 1/2.8" CMOS progressive image sensor that delivers up to 8.0MP resolution at 30 fps. Powered by IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), the units offer day/night operation and automatic backlight compensation, gain control and white balance mode (auto/manual). A total of 16 infrared LEDs (8 per camera) facilitate low-light image capturing at a projected distance of 100 feet. The programmable and PTZ cameras provide H.265/H.264 (MPEG-4, Part 10)/Motion JPEG compression, as well as the following network interfaces: 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet and RJ45.
Suitable for outdoor use, the cameras are protected by die-cast aluminum housings and polycarbonate lenses. The IP66 rated units are impact resistant and feature one 3/4" NPT hub for wiring connections.
To record the stream from this camera, a NVR (network video recorder) is required. Larson Electronics provides a line of explosion proof, hazardous location and non-classified NVR`s to work in conjunction with this camera. This camera is live-view capable without any NVR system via remote access to the camera.
Mounting:
This security light tower contains a sturdy mounting base that anchors to the ground and mounts to the wall for stability during use. The LED lights are secured to the mast head on three sides, rotated 120 degrees apart. This configuration enables full, 360 degrees of coverage at distances up to 150 feet. The security cameras are also secured at the top of the mast, which ensures comprehensive viewing of the target location.
The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier. Larson Electronics is a manufacturer and as such can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections, preferred devices and larger mounting plates.
