| The PLM-45-8-KT from Larson Electronics is a pneumatic trailer kit that includes everything needed for operators to utilize their own trailers as the mounting platform for a light and equipment tower that can reach heights up to 45 feet when fully extended. This pneumatic Megatower® trailer kit includes a hydraulic ram upright assist, air powered pneumatic mast, NEMA 3R rigid job box, a 8-45` pneumatic air mast, fold over mast brackets and all the lines necessary for operation. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* This pneumatic Megatower® trailer kit from Larson Electronics comes with a pneumatic powered light and equipment mast that collapses down to 8 feet and can be raised to heights of up to 45 feet when fully extended. This pneumatic mast is raised into an upright position using a hydraulic ram and then extended to the desired height using a trailer mountable 2 horsepower twin stack air compressor that produces 4.1 CFM at 90 PSI. The mast elevation is controlled by a push button switch to operate the hydraulic ram, allowing operators to raise the mast to the upright position. The vertical deployment is operated by an up/down level, allowing operators to extend it to its full 45` height or retract it to the collapsed height. The included pneumatic light tower is constructed of high strength, heat treated aluminum tubing for strength and durability. This tower is comprised of ten sections, and includes a locking top mounting plate for easy removal of lights or cameras. The mast is elevated using an air compressor, sold separately. An air release valve located at the base of this pneumatic mast allows operators to lower the tower. All wiring in internal, meaning no loose wiring when collapsed. This pneumatic light mast includes a six-wire internal wiring harness with 12 inches extending from both ends of the tower. This light tower weighs 350 lbs, and can easily support and lift 150+ lbs fixtures. When fully extended, this light tower can withstand winds up to 70 mph without guys. The PLM-45-8-KT pneumatic trailer kit also comes with a job box which allows operators to protect the hydraulic ram, air compressor and other electrical components for any lights or equipment that the operator chooses to mount to the pneumatic trailer kit. This job box is bright orange in color for high visibility and protects the contents of the box from the ingress of solid foreign objects such as falling dirt as well as offering a degree of protection from the elements. The PLM-45-8-KT is designed to withstand extreme cold environments and harsh winters. The pneumatic system is equipped with a de-icing system to prevent the air compressor, air lines, and pneumatic mast from freezing from moisture building within the air system. This de-icing system uses an environmentally friendly (non-toxic) fluid. All air lines are equipped with cold weather rated hydraulic hoses rated for -65°C and fitted with metallic hardware. The air compress consists of an oil-less unit equipped with an aluminum air regulator, stainless steel ball valves, and stainless steel valve controls. The head of the air compressor is wrapped with heat trace to prevent the compressor from freezing over in subzero temperatures. All the pneumatic controls are housed within an insulated and weather tight enclosure. This pneumatic control box features 1/2" thick polystyrene foam insulation and heat trace. The hydraulic system features -65°C cold weather rated rubber hydraulic hoses with metallic fittings and a cold weather rated high viscosity hydraulic fluid. The battery system that powers the hydraulic system features a cold weather rated sealed acid glass mat 12 volt battery wrapped in a heated battery blanket. A cold weather rated battery charger keeps the 12 volt battery charged. All battery components are enclosed within a NEMA 3R housing. All electrical components are wired using cold weather rated SOOW cable with rated to -50°C that features high flexibility, and extreme abrasion, acid, oil, and water resistance even in sub-zero climates.  |
