The Larson Electronics RL-85-HID-KT-R1 Rechargeable HID Handheld Spotlight Kit is designed to provide maximum output and complete portability. This spotlight produces a 15 million candlepower light beam and can be user adjusted to produce either a tightly focused and intense spotlight beam or a wide floodlight beam. An included rechargeable lithium ion battery pack can be recharged with included AC and DC chargers. A high impact nylon and unbreakable polycarbonate construction provides light weight operation and extreme durability. This light weight and waterproof 35 watt HID spotlight is ergonomically designed to produce a well balanced and easily managed handheld light source that can withstand demanding conditions and use. The entire unit weighs only 3 lbs 6 oz and is constructed with a high impact nylon handle and lamp housing and a thick polycarbonate lens for extreme durability. The unique lens and reflector design of this unit allows it to produce a high quality spotlight beam with exceptional intensity and long reach without irregularities or lens artifacts. Users can also lift the locking tab behind the lamp housing and rotate the lamp head to adjust the beam configuration. Rotating the housing adjusts the beam from a wide, soft flood pattern to a tight, spot beam reaching up to 2800 feet in length. Adjustable Lens - Spot Adjustable Lens - Flood
This units’ reflector is designed to provide maximum efficiency and power by capturing and focusing all of the light produced by the 35 watt HID bulb. The shallow convex lens produces minimal light loss and beam spillage with over 90% of the produced light concentrated and focused. While many typical spotlights lose as much as 50% of their output to light escaping around the lens and creating beam spillage, our spotlight produces a well focused and directed light beam of excellent whiteness, intensity and power. The 35 watt bulb in this unit is rated at 4500 hours of operational life and produces 15 million rated candlepower. A booted push button switch provides easy one finger operation. We also now offer a 5 inch diameter and a 7 inch diameter lens. Although the difference is not significant, the 5 inch lens produces a tighter spot beam while the 7 inch lens produces a wider coverage flood pattern.

Charging: The RL-85-HID-KT-R1 comes with both AC charging for connection to wall outlets and DC charging for connection to vehicles. An included compact lithium-ion battery pack is recharged in 8 hours by a 120-240V AC 50/60 Hz wall outlet plug. The AC charger is equipped with a 5-15 straight blade wall plug for USA models, and a two-pin schuko plug adapter for international models. For DC charging, the kit features a vehicle charger that is compatible with 12/24V DC. The spotlight is designed for easy field maintenance with simple internal connectors accessed through the snap in base at the bottom of the handle and a lamp housing that is easily removed to access the bulb and wiring. No tools are required to change any part of the light including the bulb and battery pack. Mounting: The outdoor light kit has three mounting options for maximum flexibility. A heavy-duty magnetic base enables quick and tool-less mounting on compatible surfaces. An included shoulder strap can be used to carry the spotlight on the shoulder for hands-free applications. Operators may also carry the light via a pistol grip handle. The ergonomic handle is 4.5 inches long, 1.5 inches deep and 5/8 inch thick, and the battery pack casing is approximately 4.5"L X 3.5"W X 2.5"D. The no-slip textured surface of the handle provides a sure grip even in wet conditions. A lanyard attachment at the top of the handle adds further protection against dropping should operators lose their grip. Summary of Specs:
