The SOL120-WP60E-3X100A-RMBB from Larson Electronics is a solar powered LED flood light that provides illumination to remote areas and any other location that lacks a traditional power source. This solar powered LED flood light produces 5,400 lumens of bright LED light while drawing 60 watts from the all weather solar panel. Three 100aH SLA batteries are mounted within a remote mount enclosure to power the light from the energy collected by the solar panel. Light Features: The SOL120-WP60E-3X100A-RMBB is a 60 watt solar powered LED light that produces 5,400 lumens of intense white light to provide ample illumination for a variety of tasks. The light assembly consists of six LEDs paired with specular reflectors to produce a wide light distribution overpowering that of a 500 watt quartz flood lights. This light is constructed of three angled boards that helps provide a wider spread. Instead of the light only shining forward, the center board is concentrated to go straight out while the boards on the side are 45Â° offset. The LED light fixture is designed to withstand demanding conditions and is waterproof, vapor proof, and built to resist the damaging effects of an outdoor environment.
The light head assembly is encased in an aluminum housing that is powder coated for added durability and resistance to corrosion. The housing incorporates integral cooling fins for efficient heat dissipation and increased LED longevity. The LED lamp assembly is protected by a shatterproof polycarbonate lens which is secured to the housing with a waterproof seal. A 1/2" waterproof connector provides a secure and sealed power connection point and rounds out this unit`s weather resistant construction. An optional glare shield it shipped with this light for Dark Sky compliance. There is no warm up period, the light can be cycled on and off without any reduction in lamp life, there is no glass or filament to shatter or break, and the solid state LED design provides 50,000 hours of operation.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.

In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Power/Wiring: The SOL120-WP60E-3X100A-RMBB is powered via three 100aH SLA batteries that are contained within a remote mount battery enclosure. These batteries are charged via two 60W 18V all weather rated photovolic panels. The panels each features 36 polycrystalline solar cells for a combined 72 cells, measures 27.2" in length, 52.4" in width, and 3.19" in depth and offers high performance under low light conditions. The solar panel assembly is fabricated from high transmission tempered glass, polymer back sheets and a powder coated aluminum frame.
The SOL120-WP60E-3X100A-RMBB also features an under/over voltage protection solar charge controller. This controller ensures that the batteries stay above 11V which makes sure they do not become useless as a result of them becoming discharged past the point of no return. 15` of SOOW cable connects the solar panel and the battery enclosure to offer operators flexibility in mounting the unit. An additional 15` of SOOW cable connects the LED light head and the remote battery enclosure. Alternatively, operators can choose for the light head to be mounted to the underside of the solar panel to illuminate the area underneath wherever the panel is mounted.
Mounting: The SOL120-WP60E-3X100A-RMBB offers operators several options when it comes to mounting the unit. The LED light head can either be remote mounted with 15` of SOOW cable running to the battery enclosure, or panel mounted with to the back of the solar panel itself. The solar panel can either be wall mounted or pole mounted. This gives operators the ability to not only mount the panel and light in the most convenient way for their particular illumination needs but also allows for ideal positioning of the panel in order to catch the most sunlight for charging the batteries.
