Made in the USA The Larson Electronics SPLEDXL-12V-160AL-12.2-20C-N4-20C-M1 Pole Mounted Solar Panel is an ideal power solution for remote areas and standalone applications where connection to external power is either impractical or unavailable. This 300W solar panel includes 20 feet of 12/3 SOOW cord for powering any 12V DC device from the NEMA 4 battery enclosure. Higher wattage devices may run for shorter time periods. This solar panel is powered by four, 40aH lithium-ion batteries (160aH total, 100% usable) that are recharged by the 300-watt solar panel during sunlight and operates on a 12V system. The solar panel will operate three full days without sunlight on a single charge, when powering a 50-watt 12V device for up to 12 hours/day. The lithium-ion battery pack is protected by a NEMA 4 enclosure, which enhances durability against rain, debris and external ice formation. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. When ambient light levels drop below a certain level, such as on cloudy days, the unit will not recharge. Operation: This solar panel is configured to operate non-stop 24/7, day/night with photocell, motion sensor for security purposes, on/off switch for manual operation, or flying leads for operators to connect to user provided external switches. The day/night and motion sensor is programmed to activate the solar panel in the evening and to shut it off during the day, activating the connected equipment when ambient lighting falls below 1 lux. The motion sensor will activate the panel upon detecting movement within range of the panel. The on/off switch for manual operation is mounted at the battery bank, to allow operators to manually power their devices on or off as needed. Cord: The included 20' 12/3 SOOW cord that runs between the solar panel and the battery box offers operators convenience and flexibility during the mounting process. A 20' 12/3 SOOW cord with blunt-cut ends is also available between the NEMA 4 rated battery enclosure and customer-provided equipment. Mounting: Mounting options include the ability to attach the solar panel to flat surfaces, such as walls, or round/square pole mounting, such as on flagpoles or structure supports. For secure mounting, select the appropriate pole OD size when ordering. Suggested uses for this solar panel include both commercial and industrial applications as well as consumer based installations. This panel is ideal for boat docks, remote locations that rely on batteries for power, hunting cabins, parking areas, and anywhere a standalone power solution is needed.
