The SPLEDXL-9200-LED-S-M-AW from Larson Electronics is a Solar Powered Low Profile Amber/White LED Strobing Light Bar that features 15 different flash patterns, high visibility, and 360° coverage. The four magnetic feet offer fast and secure mounting to flat magnetic surfaces such as the roof of a vehicle. One half of this strobing LED light bar features amber LEDs and the other half has white LEDs. This unit operates on 12 V that is drawn from (4) 20 aH lithium ion batteries that are charged by a 300 watt solar panel. The SPLEDXL-9200-LED-S-M-AW is 100% discharge capable. The SPLEDXL-9200-LED-S-M-AW low profile amber/white LED strobing light bar is equipped with 40 LEDs that can produce 15 different flash patterns. The operator can choose their desired flash pattern using a switch located on the back of the cigarette plug. This strobing LED light bar features an aluminum housing and a polycarbonate lens. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Solar Panel: The 300 watt solar panel on the SPLEDXL-9200-LED-S-M-AW is configured to operate non-stop 24/7, day/night with photocell, motion sensor for security purposes, on/off switch for manual operation, or flying leads for operators to connect to user provided external switches. The day/night and motion sensor is programmed to active the solar panel in the evening and to shut it off during the day, activating the LED light when ambient lighting falls below 1 lux. The motion sensor will activate the panel upon detecting movement within range of the panel. The light runs for 12 hours when the battery is fully charged and will operate for one full days without sunlight on a single charge when set to operate 24 hours a day. The runtime without sunlight can be extended if the operation tme is shortened. For example, if set to operate 12 hours a day, it will run for two days without sunlight. The sealed lead acid battery pack is contained within the solar panel, not the light. Charging time for the batteries is 5 hours when exposed to direct sunlight. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. When ambient light levels drop below a certain level, such as on cloudy days, the unit will not recharge. Mounting options include the ability to attach the fixture to flat surfaces such as walls or round/square pole mounting such as on flagpoles or structure supports. Batteries: The SPLEDXL-9200-LED-S-M-AW is equipped with (4) 20 aH lithium ion batteries. The batteries are recharged by a 300 watt solar panel. The batteries are located inside a remotely mounted control box. Wiring: There is 20 feet of PV cord between the solar panel and the control box. An additional 20 feet of 12/2 SOOW cable connects the control box to the LED light fixture. Mounting: This unit's solar panel can either be surface mounted or pole mounted, the control box can be surface mounted, and the strobe light can be magnetically mounted. The strobe light is equipped with four magnetic mounting feet for fast and secure attachment to flat, magnetic surfaces.
