The Larson Electronics TPM-LED5W-30-1224 Surface Mount LED Light Tower that extends from three feet to eight and a half feet, comes complete with an IP68 rated 150 watt LED light head and produces a 14,790 lumen flood of light capable of illuminating an area 540' in length by 480' feet in width. This pole mounted unit can be used with 12-24 Volts DC and is ideal for use as work area illumination, event lighting, emergency operations lighting, or equipment lighting.
The three foot TPM-LED5W-30-1224 surface mount work area light tower that extends to eight and a half feet provides operators with a very versatile lighting solution for operations where easily managed mobile illumination of large sized areas is required. An IP68 rated, 150 watt LED floodlight creates a total of 14,790 lumens of bright white light and provides light coverage for an area 540' long by 480' wide. This unit can also be ordered with LEDs in spotlight configuration to produce a beam 1200' long by 140' in width. Designed to be mounted to flat surfaces via a 4 hole mounting plate, this telescoping light pole can be adjusted to various heights and locked into position as well as collapsed and removed from the mounting bracket for stowing. This mounting system provides extremely secure placement of the tower in areas where high winds are commonly encountered as the weight of the vehicle removes the possibility of the unit swaying excessively or tipping over.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Durability: The TPM-LED5W-30-1224 pole mounted light tower incorporates a single high power LED light emitter on a collapsible aluminum three to eight and a half foot telescoping pole. Thirty CREE XLamp XPG® five watt LEDs producing 493 lumens each are arranged in a heavy duty aluminum housing to produce a 60 degree flood beam ideal for use as mobile work and area lighting. The LED unit is waterproof to 3 meters, sealed against intrusion by dust and dirt, and very ruggedly constructed to withstand the most demanding environments, conditions and applications. Alternatively, the LED unit can also be ordered with optional high purity 25 degree spot beam optics to provide a tighter, longer beam ideal for distance illumination.
Larson Electronics TPM-LED5W-30-1224 surface mount lights are ideal replacements for fragile and hot running 400 watt metal halide tower lamps. They offer Pulse Width Modulation control, a small profile, low power requirements, high durability and a versatile mounting system that makes these LED light emitters a superior lighting solution for various applications where power and reliability is critical.
Mounting: This adjustable mounting pole is ideal for boats as operators can mount this next to the console and elevate the lights starting at three feet up to eight and a half feet to illuminate the boat and the surrounding area. By elevating the lights this high, they can eliminate casting and glare while better illuminating a larger area. Essentialy, this adjustable pole provides the benefits of having a mast mounted light without actually having a mast. Once the lights are no longer needed, the pole can be collapse down to three feet and the lights secured before getting underway. Similarly, these poles are ideal for attaching lights to trailers. Operators can park the trailer, extend the lights to their maximum height, and illuminate a large area around the trailer. Once finished with their use, the pole is simply collapsed and the lights stowed for travel. This is a highly convenient setup
Angle Adjustment: This unit allows operators to adjust the angle of the entire unit by positioning the trailer hitch at different angles. Adjusting the angle of the tower is accomplished by loosening a thumb bolt at the base of the hitch, which enables the mount to swivel 180 degrees (given enough ground clearance, a greater swivel angle can be achieved.) Once the desired angle is found, simply retighten the thumb bolt to lock the hitch into place.
Power: These units come with a multi-voltage inline power supply, allowing the TPM-LED5W-30-1224 to operate on 120-277 volts AC.
