The Larson Electronics WAL-SL-5-LED-12.4-L7.20 Temporary Tunnel LED Lighting String Light System is designed for high output illumination and daisy chain connections across a total length of 50` away from the power source. The 10 watt LED lamps on this this work site light set provide more and higher quality light than 100 wattage incandescent lights while creating less heat and using less power. This LED light stringer operates on 277V AC and provides operators with a temporary work light solution for tunnels and underpasses up to half a mile in length.
***FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS STRING LIGHT***
This temporary tunnel string light consists of 5 industrial grade LED lamps with 10` of 12/4 SJTW cable between each unit, stretching a total of 50` in length. This temporary LED string light is connected to a 277V power source via an integrated 5` line-in cable. Each globe light is equipped with a high output LED bulb which delivers more light output than a 100 watt incandescent. The 10 watt LED bulb draws 10% the electrical power of a standard 100 watt bulb, making it suitable for standard voltage and low voltage applications. Each LED light screws into a molded E26 lamp socket and the bulb is enclosed in a bird cage style plastic guard.
Five high output A19 style LED lamps producing 1050 lumens per lamp provide a total of 5,250 lumens of bright white illumination. Each lamp housing is constructed from light weight aluminum, and fitted with an impact and shatter resistant polycarbonate diffuser. These LED light bulbs provide additional safety measures and time savings, given the low heat production and that it does not require replacing for 50,000 hours. Since the LED bulb uses solid state technology, the vibration (dropping, etc.) that degrades conventional incandescent bulbs is not an issue with these LED bulbs.
Each light has a plastic mesh guard enclosure that provides protection for the enclosed bulb and a hook eyelet that allows operators to hang these tasks lights overhead. Utilizing energy efficient LED lamps, operators are able to provide more light coverage from the same amp draw, or lower the amp draw using the same amount LED lamps as incandescent. Each LED trouble light has an effective range that approximately covers a 5-8` radius with 10-15 foot candles of light. Unlike fragile incandescent and compact fluorescent lamps that are made from glass, these LED bulbs are extremely durable and can live up to the abuse of harsh working conditions. With a lamp life of 50,000 hours, operators are not constantly having to replace burnt out or broken lamps, reducing down time and lowering the amount of spare lamps required at the job site.
Multiple stringer sections can daisy chained together via 5` whips terminated in twist lock connectors, with a maximum of twenty-five stringers daisy chained together. Alternating hots along between each daisy chained unit allows these string lights to be connected together, up to 25 units end to end spanning half a mile in length drawing less than 10 amps. Previously, it would have been unrealistic to have a complete assembly reaching 2500` in length from a single point of power.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
The LED lamps from Larson Electronics are designed for longevity and durability. Many manufacturers offer plastic heat sinks, which will cause the LEDs and drivers to fail prematurely. These LED lamps use high quality cast aluminum heat sinks that have been engineered to properly disperse heat buildup created by the LEDs. This design ensures the LED lamps will continue to operate well after the 50,000 rated lamp life.

Each high output LED lamp produces more light output than standard 100 watt rough serve lamps. The 3D polar distribution curve displays a standard 100 watt rough service incandescent lamp (red) in comparison to the LED-A19-10-E26-SML high output LED lamp (green) that is used in this work area string light. The LED lamp visible covers more than twice ground than the 100 watt rough service lamp, and the higher CRI of the LED lamp provides a better working environment. The cool white color temperature allows operators to see fine details that would not be clearly visible incandescent lighting.
These LED lamps are suitable for wet areas, extremely long lived, resistant to damage from impacts and vibrations, and consume far less energy than standard lamps. This tunnel string light is configured to operate with 277 volt electrical current and is equipped with L7-20 male and female cord caps for twistlock connections. The LED lamps provide more and better quality illumination than 100 watt incandescent string lights without the high heat and fragile glass construction of traditional lamps. With the low energy requirements of LED lamps, half mile long assembly units are now physically possible.

A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
