The WAL-TP.S-2XRL16-LED from Larson Electronics is a set of Tripod Mounted Rechargeable LED Work Lights that offer a portable and convenient source of high-intensity LED light. With no power cord to get in the way, these tripod mounted LED lights are an ideal solution for illuminating areas that don`t have traditional power sources readily available. The lightweight design and IP67 waterproof rating allow this tripod fixture to be utilized in a wide variety of work areas.
Light Features:
The WAL-TP.S-2XRL16-LED features two independent rechargeable LED light heads that produce 2000 total lumens of high-intensity LED light on the high setting and 1000 lumens on the low setting when less lighting power is needed or desired. A sealed push button is located on each light head, allowing the operator to easily switch between high and low settings on each light independently. The light heads are crafted from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum, have vibration and impact resistant tempered glass lenses, and are IP67 rated waterproof.
Measuring 12"H x 6.1"L x 3.5"W and weighing only 11.3 lbs, the two light heads on the WAL-TP.S-2XRL16-LED are designed to be lightweight and easily maneuverable. The sealed push buttons on each light allow the operator to easily switch between high and low floodlight settings, delivering a bright glare-free 2,000 lumens on high and 1000 lumens on low. The light heads are powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery and have a runtime of 4 hours each on high and 8 hours on low. The LED lamps are affixed to a trunnion bracket that permits both independent front to back tilting and side to side pivoting, allowing the operator to aim the beams in the same, or different diretions, precisely where light is needed most.
Though designed for ease of operation, maximum user control and versatility, toughness and functionality haven`t been sacrificed. The light heads on the WAL-TP.S-2XRL16-LED are built to withstand daily heavy duty wear and tear. The housings are constructed from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum and powder coated for added corrosion resistance and durability. The tempered glass lenses are impact and vibration resistant. This portable LED floodlight fixture is IP67 rated waterproof and meets the requirements of NFPA-1971-8.6.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Battery/Charging:
The rechargeable lithium ion battery powers these lights for up to 4 hours on high and 8 hours on low. The WAL-TP.S-2XRL16-LED is shipped with both an AC and DC charger power supplies. Recharging from a fully depleted state takes 6 hours.
Mounting:
The WAL-TP.S-2XRL16-LED is equipped with an adjustable aluminum tripod that can reach heights up to 10 feet and can be lowered to 3.5 feet for applications where a lower height is required or for storage and transportation. The heavy duty aluminum tripod is durable, lightweight and adjustable to any length between 3.5 feet and 10 feet. A single mounting bracket holds the two LED lights and allows them to be adjusted and aimed horizontally and vertically. This adjustability allows users to expand the area covered or to focus more intense coverage on a smaller area. The tripod legs can be collapsed and the light head`s brackets removed with the lights still on it for simple portability and deployment. The heavy duty construction of this tripod and the light weight of the two LEDs results in a portable yet very stable lighting platform that will hold its position, even in very windy conditions.
