The WAL-TPS-RL16-LED from Larson Electronics is a Tripod Mounted Rechargeable LED Work Light that offers a portable and convenient source of high-intensity LED light. With no power cord to get in the way, this tripod mounted LED light is an ideal solution for illuminating areas that don`t have traditional power sources readily available. The lightweight design and IP67 waterproof rating allow this tripod to be utilized in a wide variety of work areas.
Light Features:
The WAL-TPS-RL16-LED features a rechargeable LED light head that produces 1000 lumens of high-intensity LED light on the high setting and 500 lumens on the low setting when less lighting power is needed or desired. A single sealed push button allows the operator to easily switch between high and low settings. The light head is crafted from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum, has a vibration and impact resistant tempered glass lens, and is IP67 rated waterproof.
Measuring 12"H x 6.1"L x 3.5"W and weighing only 11.3 lbs, the light head on the WAL-TPS-RL16-LED is designed to be lightweight and easily maneuverable. A single sealed push button allows the operator to easily switch between high and low floodlight settings, delivering a bright glare-free 1,000 lumens on high and 500 lumens on low. The light head is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery and has a runtime of 4 hours on high and 8 hours on low. The LED lamp is affixed to a trunnion bracket that permits both front to back tilting and side to side pivoting, allowing the operator to aim the beam precisely where light is needed most
Though designed for ease of operation, maximum user control and versatility, toughness and functionality haven`t been sacrificed. The light head on the WAL-TPS-RL16-LED is built to withstand daily heavy duty wear and tear. The housing is constructed from lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum and is powder coated for added corrosion resistance and durability. The tempered glass lens is impact and vibration resistant. This portable LED floodlight is IP67 rated waterproof and meets the requirements of NFPA-1971-8.6.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Battery/Charging:
The rechargeable lithium ion battery powers this light for up to 4 hours on high and 8 hours on low. The WAL-TPS-RL16-LED is shipped with both an AC and DC charger power supplies. Recharging from a fully depleted state takes 6 hours.
Mounting:
The WAL-TPS-RL16-LED is equipped with an adjustable aluminum tripod that can reach heights up to 10 feet and can be lowered to 3.5 feet for applications where a lower height is required or for storage and transportation. The heavy duty aluminum tripod is durable, lightweight and adjustable to any length between 3.5 feet and 10 feet. A single mounting bracket holds the LED light and allows it to be adjusted and aimed horizontally and vertically. This adjustability allows users to expand the area covered or to focus more intense coverage on a smaller area. The tripod legs can be collapsed and the light head bracket removed with the light still on it for simple portability and deployment. The heavy duty construction of this tripod and the light weight of the LED fixture results in a portable yet very stable lighting platform that will hold its position, even in very windy conditions.
