The WAL-TSL-300W-LED 300 Watt LED Security Spotlight Tower from Larson Electronics is ideal for security and corrections applications and contains a 300 watt LED lamp capable of throwing a spotlight beam up to 1,700 feet in length.
The WAL-TSL-300W-LED 300 Watt LED Tower Security Spotlight is designed as an effective security and corrections lighting solution and produces a powerful spot beam that can be moved to track moving objects on the ground. The light head is comprised of a 300 watt LED lamp which produces 29,580 lumens, for an intense and powerful spotlight beam capable of illuminating objects up to 1,700 feet away. The light head is mounted on top of a 3 foot tall aluminum pole with a rectangular base predrilled with 4 holes for permanent mounting to flat surfaces.
The light head on this unit is a 300 watt LED enclosed within an aluminum reflector and frame for stability and safety. The lamp produces 29,580 lumens of intense white light in a spotlight pattern capable of reaching useable distances of 1,700 feet. The light head can be moved both vertically and horizontally using rear mounted handles, allowing the unit to be smoothly guided through a full range of motion in order to track moving objects on the ground. Included with this tower light is a 25 foot SOW cord which is terminated in a standard 5-15 straight blade plug. This lamp can be ordered in voltages ranging from 120 VAC to 277 VAC for compatibility with your particular power sources.
The light head on this unit is mounted to a 3 foot tall aluminum pole with a rectangular base that is predrilled with 4 holes for easy permanent mounting to flat surfaces such as floors or walls. Unlike metal halide lamps, this LED light does not use a ballast, allowing for instant on lighting and reduced overall weight. A tough powder coat finish rounds out this tower security light system and provides a rugged security lighting solution that will last for years.
Heat Management:
Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units contain advanced drivers which use pulse width modulation to control heat buildup rather than simple voltage regulators which are typically harsh on sensitive electronics and can contribute to early LED failure. These units automatically sense the temperature of each LED and adjust the energy frequency or “duty cycle” accordingly to maintain heat levels within acceptable ranges. This system in essence flashes current at an extremely fast on and off rate to each LED based upon the LED’s core temperature. This flash rate is too fast to detect with the human eye, but provides precise control of the current flowing to each LED and thus the heat it generates. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 90% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The LEDs are always driven at the same voltage but the duty cycle, however, is changed to alter how long the LEDs are actually on or off. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours.

These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 80 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three meters, and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from extruded aluminum and the lenses are unbreakable polycarbonate. The CREE XLamp XPG LEDs help these units achieve 15.6Grms rated resistance to vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 50,0000 hours of use. We recommend these LED lights for use in applications where a lot of vibration, dust, dirt, dampness and abusive working conditions are encountered.
