' Product Overview '
Made in Texas The WCDE-4-30FT-4X1000W-LED from Larson Electroncis is a Mobile LED Light Tower that is powered by a water cooled diesel engine turning a single bearing 7,500 watt generator. With four 1,000 watt LED lamps producing a total of 440,000 lumens (110,000 per fixture) this unit will illuminate a 6-7 acre area continuously without refueling for up to 50 hours. The telescoping, three-stage mast is capable of reaching heights up to 30 feet and retracting to 14 feet. The WCDE-4-30FT-4X1000W-LED mobile light tower is a self contained towable light tower package that produces enough light to illuminate an area up to 7 acres in size. This unit contains a water cooled diesel engine powering a 7,500 watt generator, which supplies the current to four 1,000 watt LED lamps producing 110,000 lumens each for a combined total of 440,000 lumens of light. This unit can run uninterrupted for 50 hours straight without refueling and includes a telescoping light mast which can elevate the four LED lamps to a maximum height of 30 feet (and lowered to 14 feet). This mobile floodlight package is ideal for emergency services, large scale event illumination, construction, mining, industrial operations and anywhere an extended operation capable mobile lighting solution is needed. The three-stage, fold-over tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a lower section 12` in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, middle section 11` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and an upper section 10` and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 1` overlap. The mast is elevated using an included 1,000 lb hand winch with 3/16" cable and extended to its full height using a second 1,000 lb hand winch.
The WCDE-4-30FT-4X1000W-LED mobile light tower incorporates a long list of impressive features. The diesel engine is a water cooled Kubota that operates at 3600 rpm. This engine features key operated electric starting, a full twelve volt electrical system, automatic low oil pressure and high temperature safety shutoffs, dual fuel filters and easy access oil and radiator drain ports to facilitate maintenance. A 28 gallon fuel tank allows the engine to operate for 50 hours continuously without refueling. The 7,500 watt generator is a single bearing design and produces 120/240 volt current at 60 Hz. The generator uses a four wire hookup system with an external ground allowing for setting up both electrical and mechanical safe grounding systems.

Light Features: The WCDE-4-30FT-4X1000W-LED from Larson Electronics is equipped with four LED lights that each produce 110,000 lumens of high intensity light (for a total of 440,000) while drawing only 1,000 watts each at 4.34 amps from a 240 volt electrical system. High output Cree® XTE LEDs are paired with a high purity polished aluminum reflector to produce a well focused 10° spot beam that is ideal for providing far reaching concentrated illumination. We also offer optional reflector a 60° flood beam spreads for covering wide areas. The spot beams are tightly focused and are designed for high elevation mounting to achieve distance, making spot versions ideal for high mast and spots lighting. The flood beams are designed to provide more light over a larger area nearer the fixture, making flood versions ideal for use as dedicated work and area lights. GAU-HB-1000W-LED lights are ideal replacements for fragile and hot running 2500 watt metal halide lamps. They offer low power requirements, high durability and a versatile mounting system that makes these LED light emitters a superior lighting solution for demanding applications where power and reliability is critical. The heavy duty design and high power of these LED lights also makes them suitable for a wide array of applications including but not limited to: high mast lighting, light towers, light plant LED retrofits, military, mining, industrial manufacturing, machine visioning, security and law enforcement, commercial structure illumination, sport complexes, billboards, race tracks, and parking lots to name a few. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Controls: The operations system for this unit is a centrally located control panel within the light tower enclosure. Four circuit breaker protected switches allow individual control of the lights while an individual hour meter tracks unit operating time. Also included is an alternator warning light, fuel primer system, preheating switch, and a 120 volt GFCI duplex receptacle for auxiliary power takeoff. Telescoping Boom: The mast is powder coated with a glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 14`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand. The stabilizing outriggers are a four point design with one located under the trailer tongue, two on the sides and one on the back of the unit. The two side outriggers are adjustable and include 1,000 lb swivel jacks for leveling and stabilizing the tower.

Housing: All of the operating components are housed within a protective compartment constructed of 14 gauge steel and designed to provide airflow for cooling. A spillage free frame with an external drain system will contain all fluids to prevent road hazards or damage to the environment. Side wing doors provide access to the interior while latches provide secure closing when the unit is in use. The design and construction of this enclosure along with the commercial grade muffler system helps this unit operate at a low 73 Db noise level @ 23 ft. The entire unit can be loaded and unloaded onto trucks via forklift sleeves mounted to the top section of the light mast. The entire unit is mounted onto a two wheel trailer with a 2,000 lb leaf spring axle. A standard two inch ball coupling and two standard safety chains allow for easy hookup and towing. The entire light tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and weighs approximately 1,600 lb. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer`s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. We also offer a choice of either the manual 1,000 lb hand winches included standard or optional electric winches.
