Lights: The main lighting system on this unit is comprised of four 1,000 watt metal halide lamps producing 110,000 lumens of light each attached to the end of the telescoping light boom. These floodlights produce a wide flood light pattern capable of illuminating 7 acres with a combined total of 440,000 lumens of light. Each floodlight is securely fastened to the light boom and each lamp includes a support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. The lamps are connected to the power source via a water tight male pin connector that attaches to a receptacle located on the end of the telescoping boom.
Controls: The operations system for this unit is a centrally located control panel within the light tower enclosure. Four circuit breaker protected switches allow individual control of the lights while an individual hour meter tracks unit operating time. Also included is an alternator warning light, fuel primer system, preheating switch and three L6-20 outlets for connecting the auxillary towers and other equipment that requires power at remote work sites where traditional power sources are unavailable or inconvenient.
Auxillary Towers: The WCDE-4-8KW-MHL-47GL-220V-2X1M-NPNTL includes two of the Larson Electronics portable metal halide light towers as auxillary lights to remotely illuminate areas away from the main genset and that the main genset cannot illuminate. The WAL-C-1XM is a quadpod mounted mini light tower and provides 49,000 square feet of work area coverage with 110,000 lumens of light output. This portable light tower has a removable dual light head assembly mounted on top of a four leg steel quadpod equipped with 10 inch wheels for easy positioning of the unit from one area of the workspace to another. The light assembly on this unit produces a wide flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating large workspaces and jobsites. This light is designed for heavy duty use in demanding conditions including emergency services, mining, construction, marine and industrial operations where durability and portability is important.
These auxillary light towers are comprised of a removable light assembly fitted with one metal halide lamp mounted atop a four leg tripod fabricated from heavy duty steel. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod pod can be extended to fourteen feet and collapsed to seven feet and is locked into position with t-handle locking pins. Each unit is extended and lowered using an included hand crank cable winch equipped with a brake for fast and safe deployment. Included solid wheels allow the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location when fully deployed. The light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamps can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side independently of each other and locked into position for maximum coverage of the work area.
Auxillary Tower Power: The auxillary towers included with the WCDE-4-8KW-MHL-47GL-220V-2X1M-NPNTL each come with a 300` (91 meter) long 12/3 SOOW extension cord which allows each auxillary tower to be utilized at distances of up to 325` away from the main genset unit. Each auxillary tower features a control box that houses the ballast for each light and that also features an on/off switch, line circuit protection and a power indicator. The auxillary towers included with this light tower package are connected to power from the genset via included L6-20 connectors.
Telescoping Boom: The telescoping boom consists of three sections extending up to 30 feet through the use of two manual self braking winches and allows for rotating the lights 360 degrees. One winch is mounted to the trailer tongue and acts to raise the tower into a vertical position while the other is mounted to the boom and is used to extend the tower to the desired height. The telescoping boom is constructed of galvanized steel to resist rusting and corrosion and is capable of withstanding 65 mph winds when extended to its full height and the stabilizing outriggers are deployed. The stabilizing outriggers are a three point design with one located under the trailer tongue and two on the rear sides of the unit. The two side outriggers are adjustable and include 3,000 lbs swivel jacks for leveling and stabilizing the tower.
Housing: All of the operating components are housed within a protective compartment constructed of 14 gauge steel and designed to provide airflow for cooling. Side doors provide access to the interior while latches provide secure closing while the unit is in use. The design and construction of this enclosure along with the commercial grade muffler system helps this unit operate at a low 63 Db noise level @ 23 ft. The entire unit can be loaded and unloaded onto trucks via forklift sleeves mounted to the outer section of the light mast. The entire unit is mounted onto a two wheel trailer with a 3,500 lbs leaf spring axle. A NATO pintle hitch and two standard safety chains allow for easy hookup and towing.

A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
