Full HD resolution
The ultra-compact VB-S30D PTZ Minidome network security camera features Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution at 30fps. A CMOS sensor delivers impressive image quality without colour bleeding or blurred lines. Auto Smart Shade Control (SSC) optimises exposure to improve highlights and correct dark areas in back-lit scenes or low light conditions, offering a true Day/Night operation.
High quality lens
The new ultra-compact wide-angle lens features a 3.5x optical zoom (with additional 4x digital). Pan, Tilt, Zoom (PTZ) capability makes it simple to move the camera to programmed pre-set positions. With a wide angle and low distortion, the high quality Canon lens delivers more light to the camera's sensor - achieving brighter and better defined images.
Dual imaging processors
The dual image processors - DIGIC DV III and DIGIC NET II - enable seamless capturing, processing, encoding and transmitting of images. The internal programming has been re-engineered to deliver multiple H.264 and/or MJPEG streams in HD or lower resolutions. In addition to multi-streaming, the cameras can also do simultaneous streaming. The H.264 encoder creates high-quality and high compression video, for smooth surveillance in a range of environments.
Compatibility and convenience
The VB-S30D integrates seamlessly thanks to its network camera SDK and HTTP protocol specification. Canon is a full member of ONVIF - the industry forum dedicated to the development of a global IP-based physical security interface standard. Compliance with the latest ONVIF V2.2 and Profile S makes it convenient to create a solution with ONVIF-compliant video management software.
In-built analytics
The camera's comprehensive set of intelligent features includes Moving Object Detection, Abandoned Object Detection, Removed Object Detection, Camera Tampering Detection, Passing Detection and Volume Detection. Normally, changes in light conditions interrupt a camera's analytics - but the new Canon range automatically resets within 20 seconds of detecting a significant increase or decrease in brightness. This ensures minimal interruption to any running analytics.
Easy and flexible installation
Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology with IEEE802.3af compliance allows the use of a single LAN cable to both power the camera and transfer video and audio data when connected to a PoE midspan or switch. PoE works for installations up to 100 meters whereas AC power supply gives flexibility of installation up to 500 meters.
