Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EHL-LED-240X12V-XGFI-50 Explosion Proof LED Drop Light / Trouble Light is UL Listed Class I Division 1 & 2 Groups C and D - and is ideal for general work activities in hazardous locations requiring explosion proof protection. The 240V inline GFCI circuit interrupter provides protection and safety to the operator and features a manual reset so that equipment will not power back on by itself in the case of a power surge or interruption. This 7 watt explosion proof LED work light from Larson Electronics produces 735 lumens of bright white light and comes complete with 50 feet of explosion proof cord. The EHL-LED-240X12V-XGFI-50 LED drop light has no ballast and the housing is constructed of non sparking aluminum, which results in a very lightweight unit. This hazardous location hand lamp is Class I Divisions 1 and 2 and Class II Division 1 and 2 hazardous location environment approved. This explosion proof LED drop light is designed with a 12 volt LED bulb to operate with 12V DC for low voltage operation. The EHL-LED-240X12V-XGFI-50 also features an inline 240V GFCI circuity interrupter. The GFCI is located between the cord cap and the transformer. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

This 7 watt LED drop light is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various dusts are present and projects 735 lumens of light, which is twice the lumens per watt output of a 100 watt incandescent bulb. This unit is rated Class I Division 1 and comes with 50` of SOOW 16/3 AWG cord ending in a choice of 240V cord cap. This hand lamp has a high efficiency LED bulb that requires no ballast, so the operator doesn`t need to drag the ballast housing around. This can be particularly annoying when the ballast becomes entangled in the cord. This explosion proof LED hand light operates on 12 Volts DC for low voltage operations. An included inline transformer allows this unit to plug into a standard outlet and operate on 240V AC then steps the current down to 12V DC for operating the lamp.
