The EPLC2-QP-2X150LED-100 is a tripod mounted explosion proof LED light and provides 14,500 square feet of work area coverage with 35,000 lumens of light output. This portable LED tripod light has dual removable LED light heads measuring 16 inches in diameter each that are mounted on top of a two wheeled steel tripod for easy positioning of the unit from one area of the workspace to another. The LED light heads on this unit produces a wide flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating enclosed areas such as tanks and containers and is suitable for hazardous locations where flammable vapors, gases and dusts may be present.
This portable LED light is comprised of two adjustable LED light heads mounted atop a three leg tripod fabricated from non-sparking powder coated aluminum. This adjustable and collapsible tripod can be extended to 9.42 feet, collapsed to 6.8 feet, and includes solid wheels allow the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location when fully deployed. The LED light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamps can be easily adjusted vertically and locked into position.

The EPLC2-QP-2X150LED-100 explosion proof LED light fixture features multiple LED drivers which helps to increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This new series of LED lamps contains twelve individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event of a driver failure, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Safety within the workplace is another benefit of LED work lights and temporary lighting. All light sources produce heat. With traditional work lamps, such as metal halide and high pressure sodium light sources, the lamp reaches high surface temperatures. These surface temperatures introduce a burn risk to anyone to anyone that allows prolonged skin contact with the light source, as well as a fire hazard if a flammable material is accidentally set too close to the light source for an extended period of time. While LED fixtures do still produce heat, they are designed with heat sinks to properly disperse the heat. The LED light assembly is engineered to disperse and expel this heat quickly and efficiently, keeping the lamp cooler than traditional light sources. This LED work light operates at a lower surface temperature than a comparable model with traditional light source, and thus does not present a significant burn risk if an operator or bystander accidentally brushed up against an exposed lamp, and reduce the fire hazard should they fixture accidentally come in contact with a flammable material for a short period of time. This significantly increases the safety within the work environment.
The LED light heads on this unit measures 16 inches in diameter each which allows it to fit through most standard size manholes and entry points. The LED light heads can be removed from the tripod, the tripod collapsed, and the entire assembly passed through a manhole and reassembled once inside.
Tower Mount: This unit is mounted on an aluminum tripod with anti-static urethane wheels for seamless transportation around the work site. The light tower can be extended to a maximum height of 9.42 feet and retracted down to 6.8 feet. Components used for height adjustments during deployment are conveniently located at chest level, allowing operators to make changes to lighting setups and configurations with ease. This tripod is suitable for portable, temporary, and stationary mounting of equipment. A round-pole design makes the assembly easier to handle and transport compared to square-shaped models.
A horizontal T-mount platform is provided at the top of the tower for mounting customer-provided equipment. The tripod features a rotatable head for quick repositioning of mounted equipment, without needing to turn the base legs or entire tower. To adjust the vertical tilt and position of mounted fixtures, operators simply loosen both brackets (located at both sides of the light). After the desired position is achieved, the brackets are tightened. An accessible hand knob can be used to remove the mounted fixture for storage or transportation.
The base of the lightweight tower consists of three 49.1" legs, with an even 120° spread for a balanced foundation. All three legs are fold-able, which caters to space-saving requirements during storage and allows the assembly to pass through tight spaces. Unlike tripods with bent or L-shaped legs, this portable light tower incorporates a flat foundation for a sturdy base. The tower`s base is also equipped with two wheels for freedom of movement at industrial facilities, as well as streamlined setup and tear-down at remote work sites. Removal of the wheel kit can be completed without special tools.
All tripods are in stock and ready to be shipped for customers with immediate lighting or mounting needs. For fast and cost-effective deliveries, the entire light tower assembly can be shipped via UPS. Freight and expedited hotshots commonly associated with light mast deliveries are not needed for this compact tower.

A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
