' Product Overview '
The GL-9021-RED Golight Radioray from Larson Electronics is a 36 Watt LED Motorized Spotlight that operates with a hard wired remote control. This particular model features a red colored housing that is ideal for fire fighters, volunteer firefighters, fire trucks and fire departments. It produces a wide spot beam with an effective working beam of 900 feet long by 70 feet wide and is permanently mounted. The GL-9021-RED Golight Radioray is designed for use in all weather conditions and produces 2,500 lumens of intense white LED light output. The red housing makes this Golight ideal for fire trucks, fire support vehicles, volunteer firefighter vehicles and any other vehicle for which a red colored light is desired or needed. These units feature remote control operation that allows users to rotate the light 370 degrees with a hard stop and to adjust vertical tilt through 135 degrees. Remote operation is provided by one hard wired dash mounted remote controller that operates through a 20 foot wiring harness.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Remote Operation: The wired dash mount remote control has a 20 foot cord that connects the light and remote together. It has a joystick that controls the position of the light. It has dual speed control of the motorized rotation and tilt. The joystick controls the motorized 135 degree tilt of the spotlight and the motorized rotation of the light a full 370 degrees. The light continues to move while the joystick is pressed. Once any button is released, the spotlight remains locked in that position unitl the joystick is moved again. Durability: The GL-9021-RED Golight Radioray LED Motorized Spotlight with Red Housing is ideal for fire trucks and other fire support vehicles such as the trucks of fire fighters or volunteer fire fighters as well as demanding outdoor use with a weather resistant housing constructed of high quality ASA Luran thermoplastic that is heat resistant, impact resistant, UV resistant and able to withstand rugged use and abusive conditions. Remote movement of this spotlight is provided by an automotive grade internal motor, gear, and transmission assembly that is constructed of LEXAN, brass, and stainless steel to provide rust and corrosion resistance as well as long life and reliable operation. Mounting: The light is permanently mounted with four screws and a rubber gasket. The screws are included. Power: This light operates with 12 volts DC and draws 3 amps, making it ideal for vehicles, boats, ATVs, and similar sources of 12 volt direct current. On this particular model, the light has a 20 foot harness that connects the wired remote and the Golight. Power connects to the unit via 1 foot cord to be connected to existing vehicle/boat harness. Alternatively, additional 16 gauge wiring can be used to connect power to a fuse box.

Light Output: The light source in this Golight Radioray is provided by six, six watt LEDs that produce 2,500 total lumens of light output. This lamp has a 6000K color temperature, giving it very good color rendering and contrasting properties and the ability to clearly and sharply illuminate objects at long distances. This beam is effective to the far end of its reach, producing enough illumination to read a book at 900 feet. This high power Golight Radioray is ideal for fire trucks, fire support vehicles, fire fighters, volunteer fire fighters, emergency services and anywhere high power and remote control functionality in a red housing are desired. Compared to a regular halogen beam, the new LED spotlight is not only a better quality beam output, but is also white in color whereas halogens produce a dimmer, yellowish beam.
