The LEDVCPL-EMG-350-WCM LED Vandal Resistant Garage Light w/ Battery Backup offers high light output from a compact form factor and is designed to provide a more durable and long lived alternative to halogen and metal halide units. This 35 watt LED light is designed to withstand rough abuse and tampering in public areas. They are a suitable replacement for 100 watt metal halide garage lights and produce a wide flood beam without the high heat, fragile construction, or high energy costs of traditional lighting. The LED LEDVCPL-EMG-350-WCM operates on voltages of 100-277V AC and provides 100,000 hours of reliability and up to 79% savings compared to traditional 100 watt metal halide garage light fixtures. This LED features a battery back-up for up to 90 minutes of light in emergency situations.
The popular LEDVCPL-EMG-350-WCM vandal resistant LED garage light from Larson Electronics features an emergency battery backup and is designed to withstand rough abuse and tampering in high-occupancy public areas. These LEDs replace more fragile and energy consuming 100 watt metal halide fixtures, without the required maintenance or electrical requirements associated with metal halides. This 35 watt LED garage light assembly consists of an integrated LED assembly paired with a polycarbonate lens to produce a wide light distribution suitable for replacing 100 watt metal halide flood lights. This LED garage light features a 2-piece housing constructed of die cast aluminum alloy with an injected molded rubber gasket resembling that of style garage light fixtures. This LED garage light is designed to withstand demanding conditions and is IP65 waterproof and built to resist the damaging effects of an outdoor environment. This fixture can be used indoors or outdoors as well as in confined spaces without heat buildup.
This emergency LED light works, mounts and is wired like our LEDVCPL-EMG-350-WCM traditional LED garage lights. The main difference is that we have added a battery back-up unit that adds emergency light functionality to the fixture. This emergency battery back-up will run one bulb at the standard UL suggested 90 minutes after power is lost at 3,500 lumens. The light recharges the battery once electrical power is restored. Standard configuration includes a single emergency battery backup that is automatically recharged and kept in a ready state. The battery back-up unit includes a switched leg for turning the light fixture on/off without kicking the unit into emergency mode.
The LEDVCPL-EMG-350-WCM consists of an integrated LED assembly housed within a waterproof die cast aluminum housing that is powder coated for added durability and resistance to corrosion. The built in template allows for mounting installation over standard 4" electrical boxes and easy future servicing, and the aluminum design helps heat dissipation and increased LED longevity. The LED lamp assembly is protected by a prismatic polycarbonate lens which is secured to the housing with a one piece injected rubber seal. This prismatic polycarbonate lens is designed for superior light distribution. 1/2" NPT knockouts located on the sides and back of the fixture provide a secure and sealed power connection point and rounds out this unit`s weather resistant construction. The housing design of this LED garage light helps maintain building aesthetics when replacing existing garage lighting.
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied and emitting light.
