The Larson Electronics VPL-1000W-HPS HPS Lamp w/ Multi-tap Ballast is designed for outdoor illumination in rugged environments, particularly high fog applications. This 1,000-watt high pressure sodium light is vaporproof and provides 130,000 lumens of flood lighting. Constructed of die-cast aluminum with a tempered glass lens, the unit is compatible with trunnion or slipfitter mounting applications.
The VPL-1000W-HPS is a powerful lighting solution for industrial sites and outdoor locations. This unit features a multi-tap, internal ballast and operates on 120-277V AC @ 8.33A 120V. During use, the lamp offers 130,00 lumens of output in a flood beam configuration. The 1,000-watt high sodium pressure lamp is constructed of die-cast aluminum, with a hinged face frame. The lens consists of tempered glass and is equipped with a high output reflector. This vaporproof unit comes with an approximate lifespan of 25,000+ hours and is suitable for wet locations.

The VPL-1000W-HPS comes with a pre-wired cord for electrical connections.
Mounting:
This high pressure sodium lamp is compatible with trunnion or slip fitter mounting requirements. For trunnion mounting, customer-provided 5/16" bolts are used to secure the lamp to the desired surface. After installation, a position-lock screw must be removed to adjust a bolt when aiming the light at the target area. Slipfitter mounting is suitable for 2-3/8" tenon or pipe. To install the light in a slipfitter configuration, two allen head set screws are tightened.
Drain hole plugs must be removed after installation. If the lamp is aimed upwards, two drain holes at the back of the housing are removed. If the lamp is aimed downwards, two drain holes at the front of the housing are removed.
