| The WAL-HL-3XF-2XB from Larson Electronics is a Battery-powered Helmet Mount LED Light for rugged and outdoor locations. Featuring three operating modes, the unit emits up to 220 lumens of white light and comes with a green rear safety light. Constructed of aluminum alloy, the portable LED lamp is powered by two, CR-123 lithium batteries (included). Operators can mount the LED light on compatible helmets and hard hats, at the brim or side. The WAL-HL-3XF-2XB is a portable, hands-free lighting solution for general work sites. Powered by two CR-123 lithium batteries, the unit offers the following modes: Flashlight, Floodlight and Dual-light. In Flashlight mode, operators may select high (220 lumens), medium (100 lumens), low (30 lumens) or strobe (175 lumens) settings. In Floodlight mode, operators may select the following settings: high (100 lumens), medium (50 lumens) or survival (15 lumens). In Dual-light mode, the unit provides up to 175 lumens of output. Runtime for the heavy-duty LED helmet light varies, depending on the selected mode. Maximum beam distance for the portable luminary is 600 feet. The LED lamp features a green LED rear safety light, which enhances illumination and detection in locations with mild to moderate smoke. The unit`s housing is constructed of ADC12 Aluminum Alloy. For durability in extreme environments, the LED light is rated IPX7 waterproof. This hands-free LED lamp is impact and chemical resistant, with a 2-meter drop rating. For personal identification, this unit is serialized. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Mounting: The WAL-HL-3XF-2XB is compatible with most fire helmets and hard hats. This versatile unit can be mounted on the brim or side of the helmet. A set of screws (two different lengths), allen wrench and batteries are included for seamless installation and immediate use.
