The Larson Electronics WAL-LED-HL-MX2-3C Industrial Battery-powered Headlamp is ideal for a wide variety of uses including industrial safety, public works & utilities, law enforcement, hardware/tool, automotive, marine, sporting goods and consumer applications. This impact/chemical resistant unit provides white, green and red output. Protected by a polycarbonate lens with a scratch resistant coating, the IP-X7 rated device is equipped with a non-slip elastic strap.
The WAL-LED-HL-MX2-3C is a portable lighting solution for rugged and extreme environments. This battery-powered device emits white, green and red light, as well as offers three beam settings: high beam/spotlight (white), low beam/spotlight (white) and floodlight (white/green/red). During operation, the LED light offers 210 lumens/2,170 candela with a distance of 305.1 feet in high beam/spot/white mode and 110 lumens/1,110 candela with a distance of 219.8 feet in low beam/spot/white mode. In floodlight mode, the unit provides the following output levels: 135 lumens (white), 12 lumens (red) and 20 lumens (green). Dual push buttons enable high/low beam spotlight and white/red/green floodlight selection.
This LED headlamp features a housing constructed of impact resistant engineered polymer that has been drop test verified from 2 meters and an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch resistant coating/IPX7 waterproof rating tested at 1 meter. The headlight provides users with a highly convenient and safe light source that leaves their hands free for work operations. Package contents include the following components: (1) LED headlamp, (1) non-slip strap and (3) AAA batteries.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

The WAL-LED-HL-MX2-3C is powered by (3) AAA batteries - included. When in use, this unit offers the following runtimes: 4.5 hours (high beam/spotlight mode), 8.5 hours (low beam/spotlight mode), 4.25 hours (floodlight/white mode), 25 hours (floodlight/red mode) and 25 hours (floodlight/green mode).
Mounting:
Non-slip, adjustable rubber straps allow this unit to be mounted to hard hats without slipping, and will fit all head sizes. Operators can adjust the tilt of the light head after installation.
