The EXP-LED-402 Intrinsically Safe LED Flashlight from Larson Electronics is a compact, portable unit that is suitable for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2 and Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 hazardous locations. The robust flashlight is capable of illuminating distances up to 564` (high beam setting). Running on 4 AA batteries, this battery-powered unit features an aluminum heat sink and a lockable on/off switch to prevent unwanted activation in hazardous locations. The intrinsically safe LED flashlight offers intense illumination in hazardous locations, which includes gas processing facilities and agricultural sites. The portable luminary supports the following beam settings: low or high. In low beam mode, the unit emits 31 lumens of white light, reaching 278` with a runtime of 9.15 hours. In high beam mode, the flashlight emits 120 lumens of white light, reaching 564` with a runtime of 6 hours. Weighing 4 ounces, this luminary is extremely lightweight. Operators may use a fastener to lock the switch, ensuring that the flashlight remains off in hazardous locations. The EXP-LED-402 comes with several safety features for use in rugged, unpredictable hazardous locations. An aluminum heat sink improves heat dissipation during operation, while reducing the possibility of malfunction from overheating. A valve design prevents the buildup of hydrogen gas. This intrinsically safe unit is ATEX/IECEx approved and IP67 waterproof with a T4 temperature code. A high impact lens cover protects the LED chip from debris and rough handling. To prevent accidental dropping the unit comes with a non-slip handle.
