' Product Overview '
The EXPRA-07-LED Intrinsically Safe LED Flashlight from Larson Electronics is a compact, portable unit that is suitable for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2 and Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 hazardous locations. The mining flashlight is capable of illuminating distances up to 820` (high beam setting). This battery-powered unit runs on 4 AA batteries and features an air-free heat sink, as well as a unique valve design to prevent the accumulation of hydrogen gas. The intrinsically safe LED flashlight offers intense illumination in hazardous locations, which includes mining sites and gas processing facilities. The portable luminary supports the following beam settings: low or high. In low beam mode, the unit emits 135 lumens of white light, reaching 590` with a runtime of 13 hours. In high beam mode, the flashlight emits 279 lumens of white light, reaching 820` with a runtime of 6.5 hours. Weighing 8.8 ounces, this luminary is extremely lightweight. Operators may attach the unit to a belt, slot or cord for hands-free illumination (via a belt clip located at the back of the light). The EXPRA-07-LED comes with several safety features for use in rugged, unpredictable hazardous locations. An air-free heat sink design improves heat dissipation during operation, while reducing the possibility of malfunction from overheating. A valve design prevents the buildup of hydrogen gas. This intrinsically safe unit is ATEX/IECEx approved and IP54 rated with a T4 temperature code.
