Made in the USA The EHL-LED-120XLV-50 from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof LED Drop Light / Trouble Light that is UL Listed Class I Divisions 1 & 2 Groups C and D - and is ideal for general work activities in hazardous locations requiring explosion proof protection. This explosion proof handlamp operates on 120/277 V AC, 50/60 Hz stepped down to 12/24 V DC via an encapsulated inline stepdown transformer. This 7 watt explosion proof LED work light from Larson Electronics produces 735 lumens of bright white light and comes complete with 50 feet of explosion proof cord. The EHL-EHL-LED-120XLV-50 LED drop light has no ballast and the housing is constructed of non sparking aluminum, which results in a very lightweight unit. This hazardous location hand lamp is Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous location environment approved. An inline encapsulated transformer steps down 120-277 V AC, 50/60 Hz to the 12/24 V DC needed to operate the light.

This 7 watt LED drop light is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various dusts are present and projects 735 lumens of light, which is twice the lumens per watt output of a 100 watt incandescent bulb. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. This hand lamp has a high efficiency LED bulb that requires no ballast, so the operator doesn't need to drag the ballast housing around. This can be particularly annoying when the ballast becomes entangled in the cord. This explosion proof LED hand light operates on 12 Volts DC or 24 Volts DC for for low voltage operations. An included inline transformer allows this unit to plug into a standard outlet and operate from 110-277 V AC, then steps the current down to 12/24 V DC for operating the lamp. The light produced by this unit has a 6000K color temperature, which is much sharper and whiter than the light produced by incandescent lamps. The light produced by this lamp is ideal for close work and inspection activities where good contrast and true color representation is needed. The LED lamp in this unit runs much cooler than incandescent or flourescent lamps, resulting in a lamp housing that remains cool to the touch and eliminates the accidental burns often encountered with incandescent drop lights.
