Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting.
This 10 watt LED drop light is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various dusts are present and projects 1050 lumens of light, which is twice the lumens per watt output of a 100 watt incandescent bulb. This unit is rated Class 1, Division 1 and comes complete with 50’ of SOOW 16/3 AWG. The Class 1, Division 1 rated reel contains 50’ of SOOW 16/3 AWG cord, a spark free ratchet, explosion proof slip-ring housing and meets federal specification JC-580A.
This hand lamp has a high efficiency LED bulb that requires no ballast, so the operator doesn`t need to drag the ballast housing around. This can be particularly annoying when the ballast becomes entangled in the cord. This explosion proof LED hand light operates on standard 120-277 Volts AC 50/60 Hz or 11-25V AC/DC for low voltage applications. The light produced by this unit has a 6000k color temperature, which is much sharper and whiter than the light produced by incandescent lamps. The light produced by this lamp is ideal for close work and inspection activities where good contrast and true color representation is needed. The LED lamp in this unit runs much cooler than incandescent or fluorescent lamps, resulting in a lamp housing that remains cool to the touch and eliminates the accidental burns often encountered with incandescent drop lights.
