The Larson Electronics EPCS-1X2PS.DP-1XPL Explosion Proof Switch is Class I, Division 1 & 2 and Class II, Division 1 & 2 rated for hazardous locations . Equipped with one colored incandescent pilot light and one 2-position selector switch, this explosion proof unit provides manual starting and stopping of small AC and DC motors. The EPCS-1X2PS.DP-1XPL is built to be heavy duty and is rated 10 amps @ 250 volts. The unit, which operates on single phase 120V AC, single phase 240V AC or 24V DC, is enclosed in a cast iron device box. The faceplate has smooth, double flanges that mate both to the cover and the mounting enclosure to provide flame tight joints. The screws consist of stainless steel hex head screws and attaches the cover to the mounting enclosure. The switches are supplied with an internal ground screw. Operators are provided access to one, 2-position selector switch at the bottom of the unit. This component takes on a 2-pole, double-throw configuration. The unit also features one incandescent pilot light at the top of the explosion proof device. The pilot light is offered in red, amber, blue, green, and white color options. Hubs: This explosion proof switch is offered with 1/2" NPT or 3/4" NPT hubs, as well as dead-end or feed-thru configuration. The EPCS-1X2PS.DP-1XPL housing is made out of a malleable iron body with a cast copper free aluminum alloy cover, and is epoxy powder coated for a natural finish. This switch is in compliance with UL 698 and is rated for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2 Groups C & D, Class I, Zones 1 & 2 Groups IIA & IIB, Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 Groups E, F & G and Class III, Divisions 1 & 2. Applications: Offshore rigs, sewage and wastewater treatment plants, coal plants, gas facilities and any other sites where an explosion proof switch is needed. |
