Made in USA The EPL-TP-2X150LED-x480I-100-B Explosion Proof LED Light with stepdown transformer from Larson Electronics is rated Class 1 Division 1 Groups C and D and uses two 16 inch LED light heads to produce 20,000 lumens of light while drawing only 300 watts. This explosion proof LED light features a 480V inline transformer that steps the voltage down from 480V to 240V. This portable explosion proof LED light tower is listed Class I, Division 1, Group B for use within hazardous areas that contain hydrogen. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS, LIGHT TOWERS, OR QUADPODS* The EPL-TP-2X150LED-x480I-100-B is a quadpod mounted explosion proof LED light and provides 15,000 square feet of work area coverage with 20,000 lumens of light output. The included 480V inline transformer on this unit is not explosion proof and must be plugged in outside of the hazardous area. The transformer has 10 feet of 16/3 SOOW cablefrom the transformer to the twist-lock plug and 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW from the transformer to the light fixture. This gives operators plenty of length to keep the transformer in a safe area while the light itself is operating in a hazardous location. This portable LED quadpod light has dual removable LED light heads measuring 16 inches in diameter each mounted on top of a two wheeled aluminum quadpod for easy positioning of the unit from one area of the workspace to another. The LED light head on this unit produces a wide flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating enclosed areas such as tanks and containers and is suitable for hazardous locations where flammable vapors, gases and dusts may be present.
This portable LED light quadpod is comprised of two removable 16 inch LED light heads mounted atop a solid rubber wheeled cart fabricated from non sparking aluminum. The non sparking, adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to twelve feet and collapsed to seven feet while wheels on the base enable the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location. The hazardous location LED light fixtures can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the quadpod support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamp can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side and locked into position. Included with this LED light quadpod is 100 feet of SOOW cord which combined with the 360 degrees of rotation and 90 degrees of tilt offered by the LED light head provides an effective alternative to often cumbersome explosion proof string lights. The LED light heads on this unit measures 16 inches in diameter each which allows it to fit through most standard size manholes and entry points. The LED light head can be removed from the quadpod, the quadpod collapsed, and the entire assembly passed through a manhole and reassembled once inside. This unit operates on 480V stepped down to 240V via the included inline transformer. This lamp is T5 temperature rated and the LED light head retains 80% of its lumen output after 60,000 hours of use, far longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps. The light head can be removed and used separately from the quadpod for added convenience. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Wiring: This explosion proof LED flood lighting system is equipped with 100` of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord leading up to the encapsulated step down transformer, and 10` of 16/3 SOOW cable on the input side of the transformer that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Please note: The transformer on this unit is waterproof rated but is NOT explosion proof rated. The transformer must remain outside the hazardous environment. Plug:The EPL-TP-2X150LED-x480I-100-B comes equipped with a NEMA L16-20P 480V Twist-Lock Cord Cap. This cord cap is not explosion proof and must be plugged in outside of the hazardous area.
