This cord reel with tool tap is ideal for petroleum facilities, waste water treatment plants, grain storage and handling silos, paint booths, underground mines, chemical plants, and much more. This explosion proof cord reel has a 20 amp rated explosion proof 2 pole 3 wire power receptacle paired with a 20 amp rated explosion proof plug, ideal for operators who need a secure, high quality connection that can withstand harsh industrial and manufacturing conditions. ***PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS HAZARDOUS LOCATION LIGHT FIXTURE*** This explosion proof tool tap is rated for Class 1 Division 1 and Class 2 Division 2 environments and includes the reel, 50 feet of 16/3 AWG SOOW cord, and a Class 1 Division 1 & 2 pin sleeve receptacle that features a rop-hinged cover design and optimal protection from dust, ice, snow, water and other environmental factors. This receptacle is factory sealed and has a rotating mechanism thqt prevents complete withdrawal of the plug. This delayed action feature allows the plug to be used as a push-pull switch in case of emergency. A matching 2 wire 3 pole explosion proof input plug is located on the line in cord, and is designed for secure power connections in flammable work sites and industrial facilities. This Class 1 Division 1, Zones 1 & 2 rated plug is rated at 20 amps and features solder terminations for reliable connections. The plug is factory sealed and constructed of copper-free aluminum. Contacts are made through round tellurion copper tubing, allowing the explosion proof accessory to withstand arcing. This unit features an extra long grounding pole for safety and secured bonding. This unit is of a modular design and is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications. The unit includes 50 feet of SOOW Cord with a 14" flange diameter and is ready to install a portable explosion proof fixture to the end. These reels are built with modular components, coupled with a spark proof ratchet and hazardous location slip ring housing. The cord feeds onto the steel reel assembly through a 4 roller adjustable cable guide with a ball stop. This reel includes an integral spring actuated ratcheting mechanism for positive cord management housed within the explosion proof threaded slip ring enclosure. This cord reel is assembled to UL 508 table 36.1 / NEC Standards and conforms to NEMA 9 and NEMA 4 (IP56) standards as well. | ||
