The Larson Electronics„¢ EPO-250-2P-20A explosion proof power outlet provides durable and secure weatherproof power connection for portable or stationary electrical devices and equipment in locations where equipment is susceptible to wet and corrosive environments. This Class I Divisions 1 & 2 Groups C & D outlet is made from durable die cast copper-free aluminum.
This 20 amp rated explosion proof 2 pole 3 wire power receptacle is ideal for operators seeking a high quality, wet area rated power receptacle suitable for use in industrial and manufacturing applications. This unit`s power receptacle is constructed of copper free die cast aluminum and the housing is iron alloy. The unit is factory sealed and any arcing is safely contained with the interior of the receptacle. The receptacle contacts are deep recessed to avoid accidental contact and will not be energized by non explosion proof plugs to preserve explosion proof protection in hazardous environments. Ordinary location plugs will NOT activate this explosion proof receptacle.
This EPO-250-2P-20A power outlet features a top-hinged cover design. The 45° downward facing receptacle housing provides optimal protection from dust, ice, snow, water and other environmental factors. Factory sealed receptacles simplifies the wiring and installation process by removing the need for external seals. The receptacles prevent complete withdrawal of the plug because they are equipped with an innovative rotating mechanism. A delayed action feature allows the plug to be used as a push-pull switch in case of emergency. Each unit is insulated with fiberglass-reinforced polyester.
Options: This unit is available in both a dead end or feed through option. Each single gang receptacle assembly is available in either a 1/2" or 3/4" hub.
