| The EPP-30A.480V-20HP-5FT-BCE from Larson Electronics is a Delayed Reaction Explosion Proof Pin and Sleeve Plug with 5` of SOOW Cable and a Blunt Cut End. The EPP-30A.480V-20HP-5FT-BCE explosion proof plug is rated at 30 amps and is compatible with our EPO-30A.480V explosion proof 20 amp outlet. This pin and sleeve male plug must be mated to an explosion proof pin and sleeve style 480V outlet. This plug is designed to lock into compatible twist lock receptacles by twisting the plug body until an audible click is heard, which indicates the plug is securely connected. Once locked into place this plug will not accidentally pull out. The delayed reaction pin and sleeve twist lock design allows the arc generaeted heat and arc chambers to cool before being exposed to the atmosphere. Hot Work Permit: This line cord is approved for hot work permit applications and allows operators to use their non-explosion proof equipment within an explosion proof environment. The alternative to this line cord is to convert non-explosion proof equipment to explosion proof plugs which can quickly become prohibitively expensive. Having the ability to use non-explosion proof equipment within hazardous areas when a job requires it makes this line cord able to greatly increase the versatility of non-explosion proof equipment. These industrial line cords are popularly used in hazardous locations when hot work permits have been acquired. We also offer class rated extension cords for use within explosion proof and hazardous location environments without hot work permits. This C1D1 plug comes factory installed with 5` of 12/4 SOOW cable and a blunt cut end. This plug is watertight and ideal for applications where moisture and corrosion is a problem and well suited for use in marine and manufacturing environments. This plug is rated Class 1, Division 1 and 2 and Class 2, Division 1 and 2 and is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors may be present. This explosion proof plug features non sparking aluminum construction, a longer housing for easy handling, specially designed brass pins for secure full length pin contact, and a 30 amp max current rating at 480V. Suggested Applications: Manufacturing, Industrial, Warehouse, Lighting, Motor-Generator Sets, Compressors, Wet areas or Locations Where Petrochemical Vapors are Present. |
