Made in Texas The EPSLED-HBNM-SOL-80C-C1D2-20C Solar Powered Explosion Proof LED Strobe Light from Larson Electronics is a reliable hydrogen rated lighting solution for remote areas and standalone applications where connection to external power is either impractical or unavailable. Charged by a Class I, Division 2 solar panel, four 12V AC 18aH sealed lead acid batteries provide constant, reliable power to the LED strobe light. The EPSLED-HBNM-SOL-80C-C1D2-20C is a sustainable LED strobe lighting solution for hazardous locations and remote sites. This explosion proof 10 watt LED strobe light from Larson Electronics is UL and CSA Listed for Class I Division 1 & 2 Groups A, B, C, and D; Class II Division 1 & 2 Groups E, F and G; and Class III. This explosion proof LED strobe light is suitable for wet locations as well. This explosion proof LED fixture comes in a variety of colors that make it useful for warning lights, indicator lights, and any other purpose where a different colored light is needed or required. The color options for the EPSLED-HBNM-SOL-80C-C1D2-20C are red, blue, green, amber, purple, and white. With a high lumen output of 1050 lumens at only 10 watts, this explosion proof LED light fixture is both efficient and powerful. This LED light fixture is also available in two different voltages; 120-277V AC or 12V DC or 24V DC. A 20` photovollic cable between the enclosure and light fixture allows for easy mounting of the panel and control box.
The control box is equipped with either a day/night sensor and motion sensor or with an on/off switch. The day/night and motion sensor is programmed to activate the solar panel in the evening and shut it off during the day, while the motion sensor will activate the panel upon detecting movement. The on/off switch will activate and shut off the solar panel according to the operator`s preference. Operators can switch between modes with a toggle switch. This solar-powered LED strobe light is constructed of copper free cast aluminum with a polyester powder coated finish. The IP67-rated unit comes with a T3C temperature rating. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. Solid state LED lighting is also safer for the environment as LEDs are 100% recyclable. And recycling simultaneously reduces operating costs by eliminating the need for the expensive special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Power/Wiring: This EPSLED-HBNM-SOL-80C-C1D2-20C is powered by four 12V AC 18aH sealed lead acid batteries that are recharged by the solar panel. These rechargeable batteries provide a continuous supply of steady, reliable power. The lead acid battery pack is contained within a stainless steel NEMA 4X Class I, Division 2 control box, not the light. This fixture ships with 80 feet of 10/2 SOOW cord that connects the explosion proof strobe light to the solar panel. Custom lengths are available upon request. Please contact us for special requirements. Charging time for the battery bank is 5 hours when exposed to direct sunlight. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. Indirect sunlight and low ambient light levels, such as on cloudy days, will extend the charge time. Mounting: The EPSLED-HBNM-SOL-80C-C1D2-20C features an inverted pendant mount for compatible surfaces, walls or ceilings. This mounting configuration ensures maximum visibility of the explosion proof LED strobe fixture. NOTE: Larson Electronics has further upgraded the options available with this light. We expect the light to be mounted separately from the panel. This incorporates a class rated panel, charge controller, and sealed battery solution. This allows the panel to be installed within C1D2 environments. This means the solar panel can be mounted in direct sunlight (not in the C1D1 hazardous area) while the light is mounted in a C1D1 hazardous area workspace. Standard installation for explosion proof lighting, including threaded rigid pipe to the LED light fixture and appropriate seal-offs, etc. are required. Larson Electronics offers a non class rated panel solution for customers who can mount the panel completely outside of the hazloc environment. No C1D1 rated solar panels exist, so the panel must be located outside the C1D1 environment in either panel solution offered.
