| Made in the USA The EPSW-FLS-SS-2KPS-10A from Larson Electronics is a Magnetically Operated Leak Proof Explosion Proof Float Switch, that operates automatically to indicate tank level, and allows operators to start and stop pumps, open or close valves, and actuate level alarm signals for maximum control. This ATEX and IECEx certified, weatherproof NEMA 4 rated explosion proof float switch is ideal for fuel management, waste water treatment equipment, heating ventilation and air conditioning, marine applications, food processing facilities and many other applications that require liquid level monitoring. The EPSW-FLS-SS-2KPS-10A is a rugged and reliable, leak-proof explosion proof float switch, which features a unique magnetic switching design. This float switch has no bellows, springs or seals, which can fail. Instead it contains a free-swinging float that attracts a magnet located within the switch€™s solid metal body, which then actuates a snap switch with a basic lever arm. To prevent any vertical hang up and device failure, the float arm hinge has a limited arm angle. The explosion proof housing is ATEX and IECEx certified, weather proof and explosion proof, constructed of durable 316 stainless steel that can withstand 2000 psig (138 bar) of pressure, making this NEMA 4 float switch ideal for hazardous and marine environments. This explosion proof, leak proof float switch is offered in two options: a single pole snap switch and a double pole snap switch. The EPSW-FLS-SS-2KPS-10A has a 3/4€ deadband and requires a minimum specific gravity of 0.7. If a medium has a specific gravity rated less than this minimum, then the float will sink through the media and the switch cannot operate. Electrical connection options include: a 6€ cord and flying leads for NEC/CEC models and terminal strips for ATEX/IEC models. This explosion proof float switch operates on 10 A @ 125/250 VAC with a ¾€ conduit connection and a 2-1/2€ male process connection, and can withstand extreme temperatures between -20ºC to 135ºC. The electrical assembly of this unit can be replaced without the removal of the unit from its installation, so the process can remain in operation. Mounting: The EPSW-FLS-SS-2KPS-10A installs directly and easily into the tank, side-wall mounted with a threaded branch connection or a flange. |
