The EXP-BLG-AM-LED-DFX Explosion Proof LED Blast Light is ideal for visibility during sand blasting operations and as an alternative to nozzle mounted and gun mounted light sources. A single high intensity Luxeon LED emitter mounted within a lightweight housing provides up to 13.5 hours of useable light and is designed to be worn on the arm or wrist to provide illumination during sand blasting.
The EXP-BLG-AM-LED-DFX explosion proof arm mounted LED blast light from Larson Electronics produces an intense light beam while providing up to 13.5 hours of illumination. A single CREE high intensity LED mounted within an impact resistant housing is powered by 3 AAA batteries to produce a long lived spot beam of up to 120 lumens in high mode and 70 lumens in low mode. Included with this explosion proof LED blast light is a rubber strap for attaching the light to the operator`s arm or wrist for ease of operation.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Featuring a housing constructed of impact resistant engineering resin that has been drop test verified, an unbreakable polycarbonate lens, and a single CREE high intensity LED rated at 50,000 hours of operating life, this LED blast light provides users with a highly convenient and safe light source that leaves their hands free for sand blasting operations. Rubber O-ring sealed and weather resistant, this headlight has a rubber dome push button switch that allows easy operation even when wearing gloves.
ETL Listed intrinsically safe for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups A, B, C, D, Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G, and Class III Temperature Code: T3, this light safe for use in environments containing gases, vapors and various dusts. This unit will operate for up to 13.5 hours on a fresh set of AAA batteries.
